I wish we would have gotten some real Guy Gardner/Wally West stories outside of just big group team ups. I think Wally and Guy would have been a fun team to read about.
It's kind of interesting that Guy doesn't really have a natural Flash pairing.
I think the most he's been involved with a flash is Barry off-handedly talking about how much he dislikes Guy.
I guess the Flash Jessica and Simon are most associated with is Barry (especially Jessica).
Kyle and Wally for me, hands down.
They had interesting, opposing situations - Wally was the natural heir to his mentor's mantle and rose to the name. Kyle was a random outsider who was suddenly given status. Kyle was given what Wally worked for, Wally had everything Kyle wanted and the experience to navigate the waters of being in another man's shadow. It's telling that in the Ring of Fire story, Kyle's subconscious manifestation of hope for the future is that his descendant marries Wally's descendant. There was friction with them to begin with, but they slowly grew to understand one another and even like one another. They worked tremendously well together, both surpassing the previous holders of their names. Put them with Connor Hawke and you have a fascinating dynamic of three young men with differing relationships to their "fathers", who were legends, rising to equal and even surpass them. Great stuff.
If invoking Zoo-Crew, and by extension the Justa' Lotta Animals. Then the equivalent duo would be:
The Crash and the *Green-Lamp-Tern.*
*I refuse to acknowledge the Green Lambkin as a legit Jordan analogue. For an ace pilot, a bird makes more sense, and a coastal-bird at that, thematically and visually.
Plus teamed-up with the Green Sparrow and Blab Canary* works great.!
**yes changed her name too

Barry and Hal. I love the relationship between the nerdy Barry and the cool pilot Hal.
