I think my Warrior of Peace and Champion of Arete names work fine for just about any version of Diana. Until the day comes when she really is written as no longer caring about building a better world, she'll always be a warrior who fights for peace. Until she becomes incompetent or morally compromised, she'll always be a great example of arête.

Nobody knows what "arete" is. Just say "virtue". Either way, i dont think people get too excited by virtue these days. I think it has to be something wonderous and exciting.

Still at it ... how can you describe "air" and still have the adjective apply to "heir"?

    "The Calm Heir" (too boring)
    "The Exotic Heir" (too ugh)
"The Stormy Heir" (too Ororo Munroe)
    "The Moist Heir" (too X-Rated)
    "The Foggy Heir (too dumb)
    "The Chilly Heir" (too unpleasant)
"The Frigid Heir" (way too unpleasant)
"The Crisp Heir" (too firm, too dry or too brittle for WW)
"The Morning Heir" (too much air / not enough heir)
"The Polluted Heir" (too much air / not enough heir ... and just plain disgusting)
    "The Turbulent Heir" (too airport)
    "The Toxic Heir" (too villainous)
    "The Sweet Heir" (too princess)
    "The Rare Heir" (too rhyming)
"The Fresh Heir" (too perfect ...ly Will Smith)
"The High Heir" (too ... hmmm ... actually, that's not horrible, given that she's Zeus's kid)
"The Gods' Heir" (too ... hmmm ... actually, that's not horrible, given that she's Zeus's kid)

I feel there's a particular adjective out there that clearly describes the power of the air that I'm obviously missing.

    Till then, I submit

Wonder Woman - The High Heir

    or

Wonder Woman - The Gods' Heir

But I reserve the right the change my mind on this

I'm partial to Fresh Heir, but the gods' heir is accurate.

    Really?

Did you read RED SON? If so, you'd notice the titles of the three books:

    Book 1: Red Son Rising
    Book 2: Red Son Ascendant
    Book 3: Red Son Setting

DC's has used the Son/Sun homonym wordplay on Supes for years, just like they have the Knight/Night homonym wordplay on Bats.

However Diana is known more for being the champion not the heir. also your planning on the current not the general wonder woman. Wonder Woman is The champion of the gods. She is not a heir. You have to extend this not just heir. She is more known for amazing amazons and becoming the champion of peace.

Nice, i never noticed it before. Thanks.

To be honest, i dont think it's important that WW gets a title that can do these kind of tricks, or whatever you want to call this. I mean "the amazing spiderman" is perfect as it is, so... Just a good title would do for me.

I think this is an example of how what works for one character doesn't work for another. Besides we're looking for nicknames for Diana not titles for her stories. In fact, the less she has in common with Clark and Bruce the better

If she's going to be called that, then there is something she should be avenging.

This has always been my pet peeve about the Avengers.

As for her new nickname... 'Godess Of War' has a nice ring to it.

God of War is the only good one in this thread so far. Well done, sir.

God of War sounds cool, but it is sooo the opposite of what she's about. I know she "will make an interesting GoW" and all, but when you think WW, is that really what pops into your head? I think feminism, equality, courage, virtue, love. Even if you go with something like "the bane of war" or something, "war" by itself is a very negative word to have up there and i think her title should have positive ones. It's basic marketing. You never say "you ll lose fat", you say "you ll become thin and sexy".
