Leader for a new X-book

I think it's mostly the current batch of writers not really giving a hoot about them one way or another.

One could even make a case for their momentum being purposefully killed off for whatever reason, but it's all moot now. Unlike the comic books, we don't have time machines and things are what they are currently. The few that managed to gain legs have moved onto other things and the rest are now forever doomed to be interchangeable background extra's.

I don't have to like it, but I do not foresee it changing either.

Well everyone up their lead a team expect for two people, Nate Grey and Danger. With out them, the X-men won't be who they are today.

5 great characters who could help lead the X-Men or any Xbook

Those 5 would actually make a very interesting team. Especially if it included maybe Warpath, Chamber, Blink and Husk. That would be a great Xfactor team or a good revival of the Xcorporation premise. I would think that Polaris would fit in as well and also Siryn since her dad would be back.

He and Storm have been having a heart to heart. He feels useless, needs to be doing something. Storm suggests that her team can't be every where when they are needed. He is to hand pick a team and move to Europe. Thus begins the new Excalibur.

Banshee all the way. He never should have been killed in the first place (although I did like how Peter David had Terry deal with his death in X-Factor, it was heartbreaking). He needs to be cured of the Death Seed and leading a team of his own. I could see him taking the ANXM under his wing or maybe taking over the EXM team.

Rachel Grey is a born leader and she's proven she is capable of making the tough decisions. I would love to read a book where is the one finally calling the shots!
