God I love Emma, and this thread only strengthens it.
Lol some of her "crimes" are so over-exaggerated that I doubt if the posters have really read the actual issues but heck, the thread reminds me how amazing Emma was/is and why I love her <3 <3 <3
In dog days, all we need is Frost.
What a wonderful thread. If only Emma was as assertive and resourceful as she was back in the day.
Now people are clamoring for her to smile more often. What has she become?
And gave all of that for back rubs. Ugh.
#blamingGillen
That's not a crime. She sucked those morons dry.
That's no longer canon (she took Christian's life and made it her own). Besides, guards were molesting her, they had it coming. She telepathically mind controlled a psych ward guard to kill everyone in the psych ward and light it on fire and carry her out.
I agree that I don't love retroactively whitewashing her glorious villainous deeds just so she can claim that she did it all for mutant children. Bad PR job.
She ordered Empath to emotionally manipulate Magneto into destroying his own self-esteem and drinking himself to death in front of his lover's photos.
No, she didn't.
Grant Morrison's crime is the crime of being too perfect.
When Cyclops gets executed for ruining her character.
She just let Jean have her cosmic orgasm. Watcher knows girl didn't have any with Scott.
That's the last place to start. Physics shouldn't matter when it comes to comicbook costumes.
Of course the original hellfire inner circle was plotting the destruction of mutants, Still murder is murder, she could have erased his mind but no, she took over his mind and made him shoot 5 unarmed people cold blooded....
Like Magneto murdered humain plotting to kill mutants...
Humans already tried to kill them once, that's when Lourdes Chantel died. Shaw and Emma didn't want to let it happen twice and so they went with a more permanent solution.
Erasing minds doesn't guarantee that the subject wouldn't remember anything at all. Mind is a tricky thing.
That was me. The classic "Dirty Deeds" series of threads. Emma's list was spectacularly big. It takes more than one post. Brace yourselves.

many of her "dirty deeds" in the list above can't be considered as "crimes" and some of them are actually parts of plans that many other X-Men got involved... but thanks for posting this informative list.
Ned Buckman, Paris Seville and other members of the inner council, whose members were all planed to eliminate all mutants by releasing sentinels but stopped by Emma, were by no means innocent. Killing them is not morally right but considering what they were doing at that time and what they had done before, that's a good way to solve the problem one and for all. It can be seen as a kind of self-defense (if she has a good lawyer lol).
Emma did a lot of horrible things when she's in the HFC but that is not one of them.
Well when Emma was a villain, I think she's just kinda cartoonish and at most a D-lister (if not Z).
I like Emma as the White Queen of HFC but the villainous past is what makes Emma more real, unique and fascinating, not the reason why she's such a great character whom we love; her villainous past is just like the condiment, it can, but can only enhance food's flavor.
