Only thing Tomasi has to do make his Superman run go over with fans is if he doesn't do anything drastic to the character like what has been keep happening. Now that people are used to new 52 Superman just do some fun stories with the character. Don't do anything like truth or doom and he'll be fine. This really isn't a hard character.
