Stony, because I've always found that cover hilarious and disturbing somehow, at the same time.
X-Books Forum Mutant Tracker/FAQ- Updated every Tuesday.
Been trying to decide between two great ones...going with Greg Hatcher
Greg Hatcher. That's some amazing artwork, right there.
Hope is not lost today. It is found.
Attila Kiss cuz blame Jesus.
The Cover Contest Weekly Winners ThreadSo much winning!!
"When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." - Sinclair Lewis
“It’s your party and you can cry if you want to.” - Captain Europe
Foxley, who gives me very good reasons to discover Archie comics !
CSTowie gets my vote. Unlike my entry, Strangers In Paradise was one of the things I liked best about comics in the 90s. I also thought of the 'bags under the eyes' idea after I posted mine (but kept it to myself).
I'm going with Ozymandas, since I had thought that would be a good cover to use.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:
Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
Not much to do here, so I'll count votes:
ChadH, Stony, foxley, CSTowle: 1 each
Abe, Spike-X, Attila Kiss: 2 each
Paradox, Ozymandas: 3 each
And this week's winner...Greg Hatcher with 6 votes! Congrats Greg Hatcher!
