Default DC Archives and Marvel Masterworks

What Archives and Masterworks do you have? The few I own...

-Wonder Woman Archives 1-5. Martson's WW was good fun with HG Peter's ecclectic artwork. Steve, rotund Etta and the Holiday Girls. Woo-Woo!

-Black Canary Archives. The evolution of BC from Johnny Thunder sidekick to her own feature. I liked in the early stories where she seemed to command black canaries with a twisted variation of the Green Lantern Oath. Some nice Murphy Anderson artwork in the two Brave and the Bold issues with Starman.

-Comic Cavalcade Archives. Nice selection of stories featuring the All-American trinity of Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Flash. Other interesting stories as well, involving various genres.

-DC Comics Rarities. The DC rarities was a nice sice of history, especially the two World's Fair specials included.

I don't have too many of either, as they're overpriced and I'm not a fan of Golden Age material - which these lines have a heavy focus on. The books I do have were picked up during blowout sales -

    DC Archives:

    Black Canary Vol. 1
    Aquaman Vol. 1
    Doom Patrol Vol. 1-5

    Marvel Masterworks:

    Doctor Strange Vol. 1-5
    The Defenders Vol. 1-3

Uncanny X-Men Vol. 1-5 (In paperback, but I'll be selling them now that I have the Omni's)

What's the deal with DC archives? They haven't scheduled any new ones for the rest of the year. They've had maybe four or five books in the past two years. Are they discontinuing the line or what?

The only Masterworks I have are the Daredevil ones #1-12. I'm current.
I started them cause it was feeling like the Silver Age Omni vol.1 was never going to happen. Now, with solicits thru 2018 accounted for we've yet to get a volume 2. So I've kept getting them even though I prefer the Omni format. The unknown we talk about is will we get SA DD vol.2 in 2019 or the Bendis Omni reprints on both volumes??
I doubt we get all 3.

And to digress why aren't they calling the Marvel Knights Omni what its contents indicate really should be the title: Daredevil by Joe Quesada
"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings" - Optimus Prime

I don't think the DC Archives line was ever officially discontinued but program ground to a halt a few years ago. According to Wikipedia It was widely believed that the DC Archive Editions would cease publication in 2008.[2] However, in an issue of the publication Comic Shop News (issue #1080, February 27, 2008), an update was provided: "In spite of earlier reports of their demise, DC Archives will continue in 2008 and 2009, although in reduced numbers, focusing on continuing already-established Archives' series.[citation needed] The numbers have since decreased from fourteen volumes released in 2007, to seven released in 2008, five in 2009, four in 2010, and three in 2011, before rebounding in 2012 with ten volumes. In 2013, the volume length was increased to 400 pages, but only three volumes were released. The most recent volume, Superman: The Man of Tomorrow Archives Vol. 3 was released in 2014. A Captain Comet Archive Vol. 1 and Batman: World's Finest Vol. 3 were both solicited by DC for release in 2013, but both were canceled prior to release and have yet to be rescheduled.

    From 2008-2014 we got:

    Adam Strange Archives 3 2008
    Doom Patrol Archives 4 2008
    Doom Patrol Archives 5 2008
The New Teen Titans Archives 4 2008
Seven Soldiers of Victory Archives 3 2008
    Will Eisner's The Spirit Archives* 24 208
    Will Eisner's The Spirit Archives* 25 2008
Batman: The Dark Knight Archives 6 2009
    The Flash Archives 5 2009
Golden Age Starman Archives 2 2009
    Will Eisner's The Spirit Archives* 26 2009
Superman: The World's Finest Comics Archives 2 2009
Batman: The Dark Knight Archives 7 2010
    Robin Archives 2 2010
    Superman Archives 8 2010
    Wonder Woman Archives 6 2010
Sugar and Spike Archives 1 2011
    Superman's Girl Friend, Lois Lane 1 2011
    T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents Archives* 7 2011
    Batman Archives 8 2012
Batman: The Dark Knight Archives 8 2012
    The Flash Archives 6 2012
    Green Lantern Archives 7 2012
Justice League of America Archives 10 2012
    The Legion of Super-Heroes Archives 13 2012
    The Mad Archives* 3 2012
    The Mad Archives* 4 2012
    Sgt. Rock Archives 4 2012
    Wonder Woman Archives 7 2012
    Metal Men Archives 2 2013
The Silver Age Teen Titans Archives 2 2013
Wonder Woman: The Amazon Princess Archives 1 2013
Superman: The Man of Tomorrow Archives 3 2014

So you can see how the line slowed down considerably, then a few years ago DC began reprinting the GA/SA/BA omnibuses which used alot of the archive material, certain lines such as Batman, Superman, Flash and Green Lantern have reached or about to reach a point where they will surpass where the archives got to
