They weren't mocking the cover... just the desperate nature of Raj...
I'm glad they did it, but I doubt it'll be a be big hit among the TBBT viewers.
also, it's "capes-and-tights", probably
The article brings up that the show is frequently criticized for its portrayal of comic book fans. As a comic book fan, I have to say I think it is pretty accurate. I don't know anyone as bad as Sheldon, but I know a couple Raj's.
I haven't watched this show in a couple years, but I loved their obscure references. My favorite was when Sheldon flipped out that Alphas was cancelled on a cliffhanger ending, I didn't think anyone else was mad about that but me.
Also, Saga is a huge hit with girls. I keep spare copies of Vol 1 to gift away.

Its the only sitcom I'll go near.
"They can be a great people Kal-El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you. My only son." - Jor-El
I've been enjoying TBBT, I've recently been getting caught up with episodes on my DVR. Has everyone been enjoying it ?
Big Bang Theory isn't funny, it misses the mark so much. This recent tweet shows perfectly why this isn't a "geek" show.
