Rate the different volumes of New 52 Detective Comics.
Any outstanding volumes that are must own?
Any stinkers?
Does it work well as if you are reading one story or does it change tone and style too much?
Do the different trades contain one story each, or multiple?

Basically its 3 big stories: Daniel, Layman and Manapul/Buccellato. I can only recommend the last team, though.

Just finished 2 HCs: Detective Comics Icarus and Detective Comics Anarky. I completely missed out on Manapul/Buccellato telling exactly my kind of Batman stories. Detective stories. After a few mediocre Flash issues I had given up on that team but those two Detective HCs are a feast for my eyes and a nice read if you miss Gotham Central like me. The revamped Harvey Bullock is my favourite comic character from now on.
