Those were some impressive visuals and animation, and I like the way the plot and the story seems to be shaping up. Looks like it could be one of the stronger movies in the in-continuity side of things.
So it looks like Martian Manhunter, John Stewart, and Hawkman have joined the League in the interim between the last Justice League movie. And hey, we finally get to see Aquaman again !
Zatanna's a pretty mainstream and traditionally heroic character (aside from Identity Crisis) so it's kind of tough seeing her get lumped with the rest of the JLD, but at least her description made her out to be fairly heroic and that will probably contrast to some degree with the rest of the group (especially Constantine). I do hope we get to see her in her stage magician costume at least once.
Of course Batman would have a major role in this. I was expecting he'd end up being the token human/non-magic guy of the group, and give them some legitimacy as the only traditional Leaguer in the group. I did laugh at the butler line though .
I am so happy they got back Matt Ryan for Constantine .
Camilla Luddington sounds solid as Zatanna. It would be nice to see her join the main League by the end of the movie, but she's probably going to be stuck in the JLD.
Nicholas Turturro as Deadman...well, he has the accent, but he sounds a little off to me.
Swamp Thing! Black Orchid! The Demons Three! Awesome.
Felix Faust has a little Fu Manchu going on here...
Ray Chase as Jason Blood sounds great, and he even sounds decent as The Demon.
It also sounds like Afred Molina is playing another villain.
Lara Croft is voicing Zatanna? That's all kinds of badass! And the animation! I don't really care about Justice League Dark but I am looking forward to this, it looks like a decent entry in the animated universe for once.
I've been waiting for the films & books to go back to the roll call format where you would see a different line-up ever so often. The new additions may be little more than cameos for this film, but I could be wrong.
I hope Phil gets to reprise the voice acting for John Stewart.
Fyi it saying fall 2016 probably means early Jan 2017.
Anyway gonna see JLvsTT tonight any good? Also TKJ how is it (if anyone seen it legally or otherwise).
"Yes...Mondo Cool"- Vegeta.
The movie looks incredibly good!! I like the line-up they chose and I'm excited to see all the cameos of League members.
I'm glad Swamp Thing is appearing! Black Orchid looks amazing, I hope she's the Hispanic one tho (Alba Garcia) as that would be cool!! I'm loving how much expansion the animated movie universe!!!
Not a fan of Hawkman getting league membership over Hawkgirl as that's way too many guys!! Plus Hawkgirl is a more popular character.
Done with DC. Can't handle the constant whiplash! Time to go on a hiatus!
-Ugh, I like Batman but he doesn't need to be in this film.
-I am probably the only guy who likes Zatanna's Reis costume over the snake-head/fishnet costume hybrid. The former at least feels like an original design that stayed trued to the character while the latter just looks incomplete. It needs a bit more glamour to it. At least the snake head costume had accessories to make the design pop. Let's hope she doesn't play second fiddle to Constantine. Not expecting the strong solo heroine they were sloooowly trying to build up in her brief ongoing but it's nice to see her animated again.
-Still not a fan of this animation. It looks so......cheap.
-No Enchantress? Bummer.
-I wasn't a fan of the JLD comic. I found it to be underwhelming and disappointing. However, it's a good concept (magical heroes band together to get on magical threats) which is easy to sell and the audiences have really liked.

At least now we know where The Killing Joke animation budget went. That preview looks amazing in terms of animation quality.
well DC is still afraid to have a film without Batman in it, unsurprising.
Someone needs to talk to Jay Olivia about attribution. He lifts a lot of animation styles and techniques from anime. And not old anime's but current ones that are relatively popular.
The J-man
Killing Joke was an okay adaptation. The Barbara part was okay, but overblown and wore out its welcome; this a story about the Joker, not her. The animation quality was mediocre, the art style meh, the r rating was pointless, and the ending was butchered. It's hardly open ended, because Batman isn't strangling him; here he just leans on the Joker as he laughs his ass off (also, wow did Conroy's laugh come off as fake, and forced).
It seems like the R-rating was initially earned for the actual adaptation from The Killing Joke, but then misused and wasted on some poor quality content in the prologue.
Like action, adventure, rogues, and outlaws? Like anti-heroes, femme fatales, mysteries and thrillers?
I wrote a book with them. Outlaw’s Shadow: A Sherwood Noir. Robin Hood’s evil counterpart, Guy of Gisbourne, is the main character. Feel free to give it a look: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asi...E2PKBNJFH76GQP
I feel like the recent set of animated movies get a lot of undeserved hate from comic fans. The original line had a few stinkers as well yet everyone glosses over those for some reason. GL: Emerald Knights, Batman: Gotham Knight, Superman Doomsday, Superman Unbound, and All Star Superman weren't exactly winners. So far the worst movies of the Nu Era (this universe needs a name) are Son of Batman and Batman vs Robin. The latter lists gets a lot of flack gets a lot of flack while the former gets glossed over.
Justice League vs Teen Titans, Flashpoint Paradox, Bad Blood, and Throne of Atlantis were pretty entertaining in my opinion. Assault on Arkham and Gods & Monsters were good too. So i don't know where the claim of the animated movies quality going down comes from?
