    Default Ultimates #4 - Review/Spoilers

Are. You. Serious?!? Another amazing issue!

Firstly, Adam's and Carol's 'Mark XIII' exploration armor. That armor is sick! Rocafort and Brown were killin' it as usual.

A certain familiar face popping up caught me by surprise and ended up being central to keeping the Ultimates to what their mission statement is. That whole sequence left me in awe. Just masterful work by Ewing.

Blue Marvel fans will be thrilled with this one!

    And that ending...wow.

This issue bored me the most if we are going to be honest. So much set up

I loved it, many tears were shed.
I really dug Ewing adding a lot of LSD metaphors and symbolism to Anti-Man's origins story.

I have a bad feeling that Ewing never read Cullen Bunn's Deadpool Killology and is building up to the characters finding out they are in a comic book, thinking no character has done it before.

Another amazing issue! I loved the armors, the backstory of filling in Adam and Connor's past, but also the huge ending with Eternity and Galactus. It's going to be so cool to see Galactus actually fight the Ultimates.

Rocafort's art really shined this issue. But Eternity is alive? So does that mean that other cosmic beings were restored? Now I'm more interested in the state of the cosmos post-secret wars.

Oh, I really hope not, that's an awful idea. That kind of direction doesn't really fit the tone of this book, IMO, and the story it's telling. I would be beyond disappointed, if they were to take that route, and become some sort of self-referential satire.

Pretty damn good issue. No complaints from my end whatsoever.

That book wasn't exactly the first to do that. Earlier Deadpool did it. Animal Man did it in the 80s/90s, probably most famously. Hell, She-Hulk, who he's written before, knew she was in a comic at one point, and he's a guy who cares about the history of his characters. If he's doing this (not convinced that'll be it, but if he does), it''s not from lack of foreknowledge.

Unlikely, it's not like hundred of stories about that topic hasn't been written already, it's a know trope.

I loved the issue, but the ending wasn't mindblowing. With what everything that happen in SW it isn't surprising to me.

Who was that on the final page?

I really enjoyed this issue- it had great scope, and you can tell Ewing loves writing Blue Marvel

Loved this issue. For someone who hasn't yet read the original Blue Marvel stuff, I was glad to get this portion of his origin told. I'm looking forward to where this is all going.

Ewing's filling in a lot of gaps from the Adam: Legend of the Blue Marvel Mini. The reveals here and there are adding so much to Adam's overall story. Yet, we still haven't gotten to Adrienne, so you know there's more to come.
