    (Haven't read #1 yet . . . figure I'd wait and read #1 & #2 together at that point.)
My LCS didn't get #2, even though it's on my pull list... grumble grumble.
I read it digitally instead, and thought it was great.

I did not see the Hyperborean connection coming. That was a great plot twist!

I enjoyed issue #2 very much. I had a question about something in it though...

Did she shoot her husband, put him in his car and push it into the water?

Is it me. or is there some homage to Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow going on here?

Actually, sky captain's robots were an homage to the 1940 episode of the Fleischer brothers Superman cartoon, "The Mechanical Monsters" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkElf1KtaBs), just like this Lobster Johnson mini serie is. Lots of great storytellers were influenced by this episode, including Hayao Miyazaki (he had giant robots in his episode of Lupin the Third "Farewell My Beloved Lupin" and then reused the same design for his robot in Castle in the sky).

FYI, for those who read digitally. Issue #3 is out today, but it isn't available yet on Comixology. All the other Dark Horse titles released today are ready for purchase. I inquired as to why and they said it has been delayed by the publisher until 8/3.

It is however available digitally at:
    digital.darkhorse.com

Edit: I checked Comixology again and it's up now.

Bought, read, and enjoyed issue #3 . . . now waiting to see when Arnold Wald, Ted, and Mr. Isog are going to show up next.

And when's the next Lobster Johnson adventure due out?

I'm not sure. I thought there was a Kevin Nowlan one-shot coming out this year, but perhaps I got that confused with with bookends of A Chain Forged in Life. I know Tonci Zonjic is already at work on his next one, but I'm pretty sure there will be a few stories from other artists before that one comes along.
