Much agreed.
The Hellboy In Hell arc appears to take on a horse's mouth type of storytelling in ways, both as the Darkness Calls + Wild Hunt + the Storm & the Fury trilogy arc does.
Yet the HiH arc also displays keeping things mysterious by way of leaving the storytelling to the ghostly fabric-weaving apparition or to other onlookers distinctly at certain points.
Similar to how in the Darkness-Fury trilogy certain anomalies get served up with mystery to it remaining intact quite as distinctly.
It will be interesting to see how the storytelling will turn out in relation to the B.P.R.D. because it seems agents most usually find themselves amid how continuity is playing out. Like it will be startling expectedly!
