Default Hippolyta's betrayal and the war that followed

I'm reading the Legend of WW and the first issue mentioned how Hippolyta betrayed her Amazon sisters. Looks like she fell in love and wanted to try to have a baby. Was that her betrayal? Why did it lead to a devastating war afterwards?

Good question. The amazons were already at war with the greeks when she met Theseus...you'd think their union would end it actually.

I suggest you just keep on reading if you want to know more, because this is, as far as I know, a brandnew part of the story that isn't a redo of an older one. Meaning the information you seek doesn't exist yet in print.

What happened is that Hippolyta longed for a baby so during the raid she's like "there's handsome blond man over there this is my chance to have a baby". There were plenty of men to choose from but a girl's gotta have standards you know what I mean. So they meet up and Hippolyta goes "I want a baby", he goes "tell me how we can beat the Amazons and you shall have a baby", she's like "(okay children are more important to me than the welfare of my people) the secret is that we're helpless without this necklace", he's like "you foolish woman! I can't give you babies 'cause I'm gay". It crushes her soul "oh all the good ones are gay", she would never smile again. The greeks go and kill all the Amazons but four, they take all their gold, jewels and all that. Hippolyta learns that her sister died but it's not until she catches Theseus shagging Hercules that she takes her necklace and gets the **** out of there. She's like "I see no point in living if I can't have babies, just cut my head off then". But the Amazons go "we all make mistakes my Queen don't beat yourself over it". And that's it really

    Wait, really?
Starting to reconsider my intent of getting the trade of this.
