I hope the make-up of the new world remains, but hopefully all the characters go away and they restart fresh. Be it the new home of the classic JSA or something different. Only characters worth keeping is PG and Huntress and they can always just create new versions of them if absolutely necessary.

I hope they just ditch all the EARTH 2 stuff, start fresh.

That was only in Wilson's run. Dan Abnett has since retconned Dick's batsuit as the property of Helena Wayne and the Wayne Foundation, which in my opinion, makes more sense. It was established in the Earth-2: Society annual that Helena gave Dick access to the bat suit and previous issues before that established that WayneTech developed the suit.

Thanks for the update, but generally, uggh to this clusterf$#k of continuity. As an ironic note., Wilson actually used Holt on the planet he was on at the time. How bad is it when Wilson's the one who isn't the weak link?

With this talk of Michael B. Jordan as Superman , people have brought up Val-Zod who was Earth 2 Superman. And as a reader the 1st volume of Earth 2 had such promise. Til the entire thing became a grim dark piece of shit series.

Its sad that DC wants to forget the series existed due to how bad it became and what they wrecked that Robinson made. So the character has went into limbo it appears.

They have a much better "black Superman" in the deck with Earth-23 Superman Calvin Ellis anyway. It wasn't the character's fault that Earth-2 went to hell but all the same he'll always be associated with it. Frankly the only concepts that won't are PG and Huntress as their characters weren't that different from their classic selves so aren't as attached to that singular project. Everything else I think is dead.

Honestly I don’t think it’s how bad earth 2 did, if they got someone who really knew what they were doing like Tom Taylor(yes because of Injustice) they could start over with better stories.

I think the real issue is that they don’t want New 52 versions of the JSA around when they are trying to bring the Original JSA back and unfortunately Val-Zoe landed in that group. There is always a chance he could be brought back with Powergirl if they choose to do that so who knows.

Val Zod has so much potential. He could have been DC’s answer to Miles Morales. Hopefully some creative team uses him again down the road. Would be super cool if Miles’ creator Bendis brings him back.

Tom Taylor's Earth 2 wasn't as bad as Daniel Wilson's but it was certainly far from good. Taylor sidelined the characters of the book and turned it into Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and Batman take on an evil Superman in a violence porn laden destruction-fest. And yes, there are those who will claim Taylor was only following editorial caveat, but it was still a steaming pile of $#!+.

Okay bad example I forgot he actually did write it. All I’m saying is that if you can find the right writer with a good story you can make something good. I’ve seen many a run where a new writer takes over and people love it compared to past runs. That was I all I was saying

People keep saying Val-Zod "could have been DC's answer to Miles Morales," but I never see them ask the fundamental question, "Does DC have the slightest interest whatsoever in having an 'answer to Miles Morales'?" And I think the answer to that question is, "No, DC doesn't give a damn about having a 'Miles Morales' of their own."

I'd rather see them use a new main Earth version of Val instead of trying to fit in the one from Earth 2. That whole series and world just became such a big mess by the end I don't think it is worth it, but a new version I think would be interesting.

    I support this idea
