P.S. I realize now how wrong I feel knowing that I can only choose 6 teams... I started this post thinking 6 was plenty, but I've changed my tune. There needs to be a Wildstorm-based team, in the case that Grayson, and more specifically Seeley and Orlando, stop using Wildstorm characters. So we need a Stormwatch. I think fans really want a new Doom Patrol team. Like, really badly. And of course, there needs to be a second Justice League team based around the characters appearing on Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow. And Suicide Squad also needs to there. And a magic based team, with Zatanna as the leader, as well.

P.P.S. The focus for characters like Kon-El, Tim Drake, and Cassie would be either solo books, a Trinity book of sorts, or being supporting characters in Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. As for Batman not being on a team, I feel just sticking him on Batman where he is more likely to be written like an a** isn't all that compelling. A return of the Outsiders would be really cool. Red Hood could easily be on that team, as well. I just realized that this puts me at 12 teams, if I had things my way. Damn.

Not gonna bother with rosters, since those are made up partially by writer's choice, partially by editorial edict, partially by WB's larger media plans, and partially by whoever is available.

Also not going to mention Milestone, since I am hoping that they remain an imprint and not a part of the main DCU. No need to tarnish Milestone with the mess that DC has made of themselves beyond distribution and the rare multiversal crossover with Earth M.

Trying to think of what might possibly sell without just doing "Justice League Title 1-6" and not what I'd like to see personally.

Justice League. And honestly, most of the teams DC puts out should use this title in one form or another, because it sells. Cheap gimmick, yes, but effective. And the name doesnt have to reflect anything, just serve as a hook to get readers' attention.

The Legion. Let's see that bright and fantastic future, brought back with a fresh start and fresh talent (or Hickman). Or, if using the League name to draw sales, call it Justice LEGION Alpha. But, really, its the Legion of Superheroes under a different name. Get a great new writer on board and "Batgirl" the hell out of the thing without actually copying what Batgirl has done. No need to go all small-ball indie here, just a fresh voice and new vision.

Authority/StormWatch/WildStorm something: DC has the characters, they might as well use them. Ideally, such a team would provide a "third viewpoint" between the absolute heroism of the League and the absolute tyranny of the Secret Society or Injustice League or whatever they're calling themselves this month. With a roster that brings in some big DC names (use Batman, he'd sorta fit and cause some hype), a up-and-coming writer (or huge name stolen from Marvel/Image), and the cult success of Midnighter, I think it might be a sleeper hit.

Titans. Drop the "Teen" from the name, dont try to copy Wolfman/Perez because that has never, ever, ever actually worked ever (why dont people get this???), and move forward without forgetting where you came from. There's no doubt we'll be getting this book with the Titans Hunt roster plus a few.

Justice League Academy. Treat it like the Young Justice show and have older, experienced heroes like Cyborg and Nightwing train the newer, younger heroes like Damien and Stargirl.

Legends of Tomorrow/Justice League CW/whatever. The CW show has started strong and it would be a great place to showcase lesser known characters under a banner that has a chance of selling. Should not be made to reflect the show exactly, just in case that was not clear.

JSA. Ideally they'd be on their own earth with the majority of their history intact (WWII to Jack Knight and Stargirl, with adjustments as needed) but it seems they're gonna end up time tossed on the main earth again. So hey, when that fails (and I suspect it will because that doesnt bring in what people like about the JSA) give them another try and do it right.

I'd also like to add that things like Doom Patrol, Outsiders, the DEO, Argus, and so on wont support ongoing titles but are still viable properties. So, perhaps there's a way to combine the concepts together into one sweeping, team-based ensemble title? I dunno. I think groups like that enrich the DCU and need to get some love, but an ongoing title doesnt seem like a feasible option at this point. So....I dunno, digital firsts? Supporting roles in other books? They need to be used, but they cant support their own books so.....I dunno.
