Oh and the X-Men: Sword Of Braddocks one-shot, starring Psylocke, written by Claremont. A very fun read with gorgeous art from Scott Clark(RIP).
Sue, always Sue.

I 100% agree it's Storm. As you say, between movies, games and comics... she really has everyone beat. Not only that she's been a leader FOR DECADES! Unlike Black Widow who once lead the whole Avengers (now can't even get to lead the spy team when she's supposed to be the world's greatest spy) is just sad, Storm is still leading a team(s). After Storm... it's hard, I'd say either Black Widow (due to the movies), Captain Marvel (because Marvel REEEALLY want it to be her -- but it's just not) or Jean Grey (she has been dead for a long time in comics, though).
BUT what I love is I can see the arguement for so many. Elektra has had her own movie (none of the other ladies have). She-Hulk has the longest running 616 comic of any lady. Storm's a leader across the board, Jean Grey has been the focal female of the X-films, has one of the biggest X-storylines of all time (one of the biggest of comics, even). Invisible Woman is the lead female of the FF (the FIRST family). Wasp is a founding Avenger, former leader (not in many other mediums though). Marvel has done a good job creating many awesome females, now they just need to use them more (and they are -- so kudos Marvel!)
No, I think that one can be left off, considering what a piss-poor series it was. Despite the name, it wasn't a Storm story. It was a Black Panther story. Throughout the entire 6-issue mini, Storm was weak and helpless, existing only to be rescued by Panther over and over and over. It was insulting to her character, and came across, quite frankly, as misogynistic.
I liked Mekanix for using Karma. Karma's always gotten so little love. She deserves better. Vietnamese, lesbian, rape survivor, caretaker for her younger siblings, amputee - she's so diverse it's insane. And yet still she seldom shows up anywhere. Even Marjorie Liu couldn't really think of much to do with her.
I forgot about that. It was gorgeous. And she's only gotten better since then. So she should do an issue or arc of the current series.
I've read it. It was pretty OK. Not bad, not great, just OK.
This one's debatable but I'll let others make the case for or against.
Phoenix Endsong. Your mileage will definitely vary, and Jean while seemingly the highlight isn't in it quite that much. But she steals the spotlight whenever she shows, and is pretty much the reason it sold as well as the head X title at the time. The follow up Warsong didn't do as well.
Also notable in that it's drawn by Greg Porn-Face Land and even he couldn't make Jean look cheap.

Be the change you wish to see in the world.
Jean Grey would be the unanimous choice for Marvel's leading lady if they had kept her alive this entire time. She's got boundless star quality without being so quirky as to be relegated to some sideshow oddity. And even though she is most famous for going "dark" she spends the vast majority of her time as the quintessential good girl with a positive and uplifting air about her, something which is desperately lacking in modern comics. While she has plenty of sex appeal, she always keeps it classy and never vulgar, there's a real nobility to the character in every sense of the word.
I'm getting more and more interested in white tiger lately. I wonder what sales would be like if they gave her another series with a really great writer?
