QUESTION: which female (who hasn't really been in a leadership role) would you like to see lead a team?

Also the teams lead by a woman right now are (correct me if I'm wrong):

    SOLE LEADER
    Storm in X-men
    Kitty in All New X-men
    Polaris in All New X-factor

    JOINT LEADERSHIP
Storm (w. Wolverine) in Wolverine and the X-men
Spectrum (w. Luke Cage) in Mighty Avengers

Black Widow comes to mind right away. The fact that she's not the one leading the Secret Avengers is ridiculous to me.

QUOTED FOR TRUTH! Obvious I was thinking of those who haven't lead before (and she's led the Avengers and "sort of" the Thunderbolts); but HOW is the world's greatest spy (for a 4th creative writing team running) NOT leading? Massive missed opportunity.

In terms of "already leaders" I'd rename the X-comic Storm and the X-men after Wolverine dies, and make Captain Marvel leader of the Avengers.

I wouldn't mind seeing Elektra take a leadership role in Thunderbolts.

I'd love to see this too...
    a) anything better than Ross
    b) she deserves a shot.

What do you think would be her mission statement with the team? Just doings good, or do you see her actively seeking out villains to join and redeem? That would actually be pretty cool; have three "main" stayers with new members coming and going every year, as they try to "redeem" various villains. Would be pretty cool?

I'd love to see Jubilee officially lead a group of the younger mutants. She recently was shown taking some out on a field mission in X-Men to battle sentinels. Also, Jubilee was field leader to the New Warriors, and is the leader of the X-People in the MC2 Spider-Girl universe. She was also the leader of the future X-Men in Battle of the Atom.

Both! And I really like your idea. I can kinda see her as a less explosive but just as deadly manager as Ross.

THIS!!! If we get another X-kids comic, I'd love to see Jubilee lead it/be THE focal teacher like Emma was to the New X-men. She'd have great experience, and can also relate. Perfect idea.

Someone already mentioned Jubilee as a leader (yay!), so I'll just say:

    Appreciation threads:

    Jubilee

    Monet St. Croix

    Oh, thank-you for these.

QUESTION: how do I link AND change the link name to what I want? I use the CBR "link" icon.

I actually really like this idea. So we need a new volume of New X-Men, with Jubilee as the team leader, and the team made up of Anole, Rockslide, Surge, Dust, Hellion, Bling! and Mercury. And regular guest appearances by X-23, because Jubilee and Laura are an amazing pairing. Even without all the lesbian subtext, they're just awesome together.

As far as women who should lead a team: I'm going to say Mockingbird should lead a black ops team. A new Secret Avengers (or even a new Secret Warriors).

My love of Karma demands that she lead a team, even if she actually probably wouldn't be a good fit for a team leader. I don't care, she's awesome.

Karma or Jubilee (preferably Karma), or even Moonstar, or Firestar (who was an Avenger for all of five minutes!), or Rahne, or some combination of the above, coordinating a team of younger mutants could be very interesting, and sort of a poke in the eye of little miss foot-stompy 'I'm too good to be teamed up with these X-babies!' Pryde.

How many all-women teams and nations do you know? Off the top of my head:

Lady Liberators I (headed by Enchantress disguised as Valkyrie)
Lady Liberators II (Thundra, She-Hulk, Valkyrie and Invisible Woman, later Storm as prominent members, others joined)
    Fearless Defenders
Daughters of the Dragon (Misty Knight and Colleen Wing)
    Femizons (Superia's group)
    Femizonia/United Sisterhood Republic (Thundra's Earth)
    B.A.D. (Black Mamba, Asp, Diamondback)
    Valkyrior
    Disir
Amazons (ruled by Hippolyta, Artume, then Delphyne Gorgon)
    Human Torch/Fantastic Four/She-Hulk/Disney Big Hero 6 /Tangled/G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero/Transformers G1 fanatic, Avatar-maker, and Marvel Moderator
    "一人じゃないから。" AI、『Story』。
    "ヒロ、お前を信じてる。" タダシ、『ベイマックス』。
"You were my my new dream." "And you were mine." Eugene Fitzherbert and Rapunzel.
    "Knowing is half the battle."
    G.I. Joe.

Great cast. I'd add in Indra too (he'd be a great boyfriend for Anole).

Brian Wood's X-men is another all female team.
