If I was a comic creator I would be very hesitant.
looks like we're entering another era of exclusive contracts. it seemed like DC was trying to get away from that business plan over the last couple of years. Marvel tends to go the exclusive route more often and DC has lost so many talented creators to them recently that it's no big surprise they're going to start offering more exclusives. hopefully they're smart enough to offer one to King, Seeley, Orlando, and Williams .
It doesn't mean that. It never means that. Creator owned work is always excluded. Even non creator owned work often is, so long as it isn't for the other big 2 company. Lemire is Marvel exclusive and still working at Valiant.
Exclusives are a good thing. They offer health benefits, which is huge if you've got a family and you're the primary earner.
I hope they sign the right creators.
Marvel has been doing this left and right and signing great people that are now lost to DC. It's time DC does the same thing.

Nice. DC's been bleeding talent, they need to lock up some of the standouts from DCYou (the four in the OP especially).
Current Pull: Lazarus, The Realm, Seven to Eternity, Aquaman, Flash, Justice League Dark, Justice League Odyssey, Sideways, Black Panther, Captain America, Daredevil, Death of the Inhumans.
Future Pull: Killmonger.
Supporting LION FORGE COMICS and other independent publishers.
Check out Lion Forge's Catalyst Prime Universe. Its the best damned superhero verse in comics. Diverse characters and interesting stories set in a universe where anyone can be a hero. And company that prides itself on representation both in the comics themselves and in the people behind them.
Oh my goodness gracious! I've been bamboozled!
When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change. AVATAR AANG
Great news. Would love to see Renae De Liz, Clay Mann & Amy Chu become exclusive. They should send out contracts for some Vertigo talent as well.
I just wish DC would've nabbed Soule when they still had the chance.
That said, there are still some great candidates to be secured; let's hope they don't botch this.
