Egg Fu is about the level of villain the average quality of Suicide Squad deserves so I’d say the lowest member of Villainy Inc is a trade up for them.

You are really underestimating the value that Suicide Squad has as a franchise.

Not underestimating anything, just think it’s the DC equivalent to Michael Bay’s Transformers films.

Those movies make a billion a film and are top ten merchandising earners for the year. You make not like the films or the Suicide Squad franchise but millions of others do.

The Suicide Squad can be very good. At least the original Ostrander run was great, not so much since then.

It's still not a place for any Wonder Woman villain even at its best. Not unless we want to either give up on having them be regulars in WW and just give them away to SS permanently, or to see them get their brains blown out as the latest mission Red Shirts.

Captain Boomerang still appears in Flash comics and he has been in most versions of Suicide Squad and is always a stand out in those stories.

Don't forget, this is Future State: Suicide Squad. There's no saying that it will carry over to the main book. She might just be a one-panel cameo for all we know.

He's pretty much it though. Harley is big enough to go wherever she wants, and Deadshot is effectively no longer a Batman character after taking off in the Squad.

DC's treatment of WW's villains in general does not lend confidence to the idea that going to the Squad will automatically result in a Boomerang situation. More likely it would be how the Firestorm villains were treated: Red Shirts. It's not a risk worth taking at all.

If this turns out to be true, I'll be buying Suicide Squad.

And yet we still keep having Deadshot appear in Batman tv shows (and Arrow). The only reason why he doesn't appear in more Batman comics is because Batman has dozens and dozens or famous villains. A character appearing in Suicide Squad doesn't mean he can't appear in other books too. And they usually let characters with unique personalities stay on the team. That's why Boomerang and Harley appear so much. Any character that is just "violent angry psychopath" won't stay there very long. But if you choose someone with a unique gimmick and personality that has interesting intercations with Deadshot, Harley and Boomerang than there's a good chance that they will get enough attention to stay there (and keep appearing in Wonder Woman books).

If she becomes a Suicide Squad regular it's not a big loss for us. It's not like she's being used in the WW book.

Very cool! Haven't they used the Love is a Battlefield title before though? I've noticed that happening more and more.
