Each story also isn’t much longer than 10-12 pages all together, going off of Superman: Red and Blue at least.

Still, supporting this issue/book could signal to DC that we want to see EVEN MORE of the First Born. I'm not saying I'm definitely not buying it but at least 1 of the other stories had better really impress me in the preview to get me to buy this book.

I understand this concern, but it not solely focusing on the First Born might prevent them from this being the take away. If it sells well, it could just as well have to do with Nubia being in it and people wanting to support that.

I get the fear since I have similar opinions on Max Lord being forced into WW stuff but so far, FB will be in one of maybe 8-10 stories between the two issues solicited so far.

Id take Maxwell Lord if he was written like his movie counterpart

True, but even movie Max Lord committed the sin of hogging the spotlight from Cheetah in a movie that by all rights should have been purely hers (or preferably if she had to share it, do it with another actual WW character like Deception). FB hasn't done anything of that level to end up on my permanent crap list.

I just count my blessings they didn't do the neck snap (I guess Supes took one for the team in MoS).

Though I recall coming across some who complained she didn't snap his neck so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
