Most interesting characters / storylines

Good day all.

I am in the process of writing a crossover fanfiction that will among others, take place in the Marvel Comics world.

For ideas of where to go, I was wondering what according to, you, the most interesting characters and storylines are?

My knowledge mainly stems from the latest movies sadly which I why I have turned to you all for help.

I agree with the earlier poster who mentioned the Shuma Gorath in the Marvel Premiere, I'll also recommend Strange Tales v2 where he took on Shuma Gorath again and the times he took on Dracula and of course the old school Dormammu Saga

Characters.

Punisher. Strong and simple origin. White skull on black motif is cool. Very violent. Whats not to love?
Rocket and Groot. A walking, talking Raccoon and a walking, talking Tree. Best mates. In space.
Thor. God amongst men. Thunder. Massive hammer. Badass.

Storylines.
God Butcher/God Bomb
Annihilation
Dark Reign (Normans Thunderbolts leading up to Dark Avengers and Siege)

I would recommend those but I haven't got there yet in my Strange readings. I think we could also add Triumph & Torment to the list.

Wow, I can't believe I forgot Triumph & Torment. Also, The Oath is probably the only modern Dr. Strange story that i've really enjoyed.

As for Nameless Land, Timeless Time is that the 4 issue Doctor Strange Classics? It don't think it included #146 where Eternity vs Dormammu occurred. as well as the two earlier issues where strange first met dormmamu. (I like to include those in the saga). I believe all these issues are in the Essential Doctor Strange vol. 1
