So, anybody notice that in all his appearances outside of comics, Miguel has no accent whatsoever?
Batman Beyond is the reason it didn't happen.
https://www.cbr.com/comic-legends-wa...ider-man-2099/The show’s creator, Will Meugniot, clearly delineated the process he took in creating “Spider-Man Unlimited.”
When he had to revamp the show, they did briefly consider using “Spider-Man 2099,” but they never actually went through with the idea.
Meugniot actually replied to a commenter asking, “Did the idea to use Spider-Man 2099 for this series ever cross your mind?”
with “Actually, Spider-Man 2099 was seriously considered, but Batman Beyond was already in the works, and had covered that territory pretty well.”
Yea I remember SU, I like how it was a mash-up of 2099 and Ultimate Spiderman.
The city I once knew as home is teetering on the edge of radioactive oblivion
So after Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, would you like to see a Spider-Man 2099 movie made by the same creators?
Does anyone actually think Miguel will show up in Into the Spider-Verse beyond maybe a one-off "and here's one of the other dimensions!" scene?
Any word on if they'll do the last of Pad's classic 2099? They should need only one more big trade to get it all.
Le Suck it, Dolphin!
-God I am so tired.
SCOTT SUMMERS AND EMMA FROST DESERVED BETTER.
With Scarlet Spider’s sales down, anyone else hoping PAD moves onto a Spider-Man/Defenders/Avengers 2100 book next?
No sign of Miguel in the April solicits, unless I missed it somehow. Could possibly show up in the new Exiles run, but I'm not holding my breath.
