1. Wonder Man, War



I find Wonder Man's strength is overlooked by Marvel now, even though he's fought Thor in hand to hand combat, something Apocalypse took into consideration when he recruited Wonder Man. When Wonder Man was captured, there was little to no resistance due to his pacifist attitude, something Apocalypse also took into consideration as well which resulted in Simon being transformed into a war mongering, destruction craving War.

Attached to Wonder Man's armor is a device on his chest that alters Simon's molecular structure, allowing him to generate powerful explosions. The costume when I came up with the concept was a mix of something resembling gladitorial armor and a missile; I essentially wanted to make Wonder Man a human bomb without looking ridiculous. The helmet adds to the sleek missile like shape and hides his identity, setting up for what would typically be a shocking reveal to whoever he'd be fighting (if they can get the helmet off). The helmet also prevents any mental intrusion because telepaths.

Another Earth, many years ago...

Realizing that one day his path would cross this world's mightiest heroes, Apocalypse struck preemptively, annihilating the champions before they could develop into a force powerful enough to stop his reign. From the husks of the fallen he carved his Horsemen to unleash hell upon all those who opposed him.


The Four Horsemen (Based on the Avengers roster circa Avengers #2 (1963) following the Hulk's departure.)

1. Pestilence: Apocrita the Blood Wasp; simply called Killer Wasp by the public (formerly the Wasp)

2. Famine: Leviathan (formerly Giant-Man. Like the Greek god, Antaeus, Pym now draws his power from the earth. But as he grows, the land is left barren and blighted.)

3. War: Dies Irae ( formerly Iron Man)

4. Death: Apophis (formerly Thor Odinson)
