There was an awesome sub plot in Injustice Year 2. Superman, in a epitome of superdickery, reveals to James Gordon that he has terminal lung cancer.
In all and all, Gordon, after taking the super pills, invading to the JLA headquarters and foiling something (can't remember much, sorry), he has a touching dialogue with Barbara and Batman before living his last breath.

I do know that earth 2 batman had lung cancer as well but I don't count it as a cancer story as it was only briefly mentioned as a don't smoke thing earth 2 batman later dies of a gun shot wound

It was a pleasure, my friend!
It was a sub plot actually but i think it was handled good. Gordon kept it a secret from Barbara and Batman who was recovering from a severe back break from Superman and risked everything, including his life in order to stop a plan of Superman's (i can't remember details, sorry). His final words with his daughter and Batman were truly touching and very well executed.
I truly recommend to buy the trades of Year 2 of Injustice. It has many awesome moments!
