Magneto's powers are Magneto's powers. If they don't make sense, neither does how the most basic of comic book powers, like super strength.
He has done that quite often, without using that trick Mystique pulled. He's even used mind-control by using the blood in the brain.
Could be, but he still does it, repeatedly. Those aren't outlier feats like Spider-Man vs. Firelord. And a lot of Magneto's feats don't match with his powerset and largely explained away by odd hand wavey statements. Like his capability to create forcefields that are nigh impenetrable. He can manipulate metal and magnetic waves, neither of those should be powerful enough to create a forcefield capable of stopping bullets. The jump to making magnetic waves a tangible force is where his powers are stretched for the sake of comic book coolness rather than rooted in the science of his powers.
616 Magneto pretty much has a do-anything power. And it's been treated like consistantly that for decades on end.
Right. He doesn't just control magnetism but IIRC the entire Electromagnetic(EM) force.
And one way or the other, consistent feats are consistent feats.
Plus, the thread says 'If you had Magneto's powers' not 'If Magneto's powers were restricted by RL laws of nature'
If we would go that route, almost every powerset would be impossible.
Please ignore

As long as you have to eat, breathe and sleep, you would be vulnerable in the real world, even with Magneto's power set.
You can't create wormholes with electromagnetism. The electromagnetic force doesn't effect the curvature and geometry of space, only the gravitational force does.
Yes, I'm aware that in some random comic Magneto did it anyway. Shame on Marvel for not getting their fundamental forces of physics correct.
Whether it's controlling electromagnetism or having Magneto's powers, either way it's going to be nonsensical just by the ridiculous premise of either statement. Best just to take OP's intent and run with it.
Open peoples' belts and watch the chaos that follows.
