When I originally created mine, I just got standard images of the Simpsons (and other Simpsons characters) off the internet, and altered them one pixel at a time. Hell yeah it was time consuming, but rewarding at the same time. If you like the Summers/Grey's that much, you can have at it with your own creations... Just be sure you post them when you're done.
