The same thing happened to Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Beware the Batman. The former wasn't selling toys either and it got canned, and the latter was barely promoted by CN and they didn't even bother airing all the episodes before Toonami picked it up a while later.

The reason Justice League Action looks as stylized as it is and has 11-minute segments is probably, at least in part, because WB/DC want a show that can fit better on Cartoon Network.

I for one I'm hoping this works and they get a third season on Netflix because it deserves a chance after how messed up the toy situation was. Someone, somewhere bungled things badly with regard to the toys while it was on CN. It's kinda hard to sell toys when those toys are badly made in the first place and when they are almost impossible to find in the second.

There was a twitter rally yesterday morning. Fans have really gotten behind this and Netflix knows of our efforts. Hopefully this works.

Doesn't mean you shouldn't try helping. Contact Netflix customer support and let them know you want a third season. There are a lot of screenshots of conversations with customer support on twitter. They basically all say the same thing. Nothing official yet, but they know about the online movements and they've had a lot of requests for the show to be renewed.

That said, I don't think it's going to happen. DC, for reasons I still don't understand, has been terrible with it's animated shows, even though they've been great with their animated movies. They don't seem to put much effort behind anything that isn't a cartoony craptastic version of Teen Titans. And that lack of effort says to me that they don't care what fans say. They've already made up their minds and there's no changing it.
I don't believe that for a second. The reason the show went under is because the toy line that funded the show was cancelled due to poor sales. With no funding, YJ was dropped. Netflix could commission a season of YJ if they find it profitable, which fans have been doing their best to show them that it can be. This will give DC the opportunity to make better merchandise. Merchandise that caters to all audiences, rather than toys. DC and WB are still businesses. What's more is that they cater to a relatively small audience. If they can find any way to profit off of YJ, I'm certain they'll take it.

BTB was almost deliberate sabotage. It got almost no promotion, they only ran a few episodes before they pulled the plug and then air the rest at something like 2:00 in the morning on a Saturday knowing full well no one would see them. They can't even blame poor sales of merchandise for it because they didn't even have time to put any out! It was obvious they were building up to the Outsiders (Katana, Metamorpho, etc) but that's obviously not going to happen now.

There are like a million DC animated movies on Netflix at the moment, so I'm inclined to think that we have a better than average chance of getting another Young Justice.

Yeah, that's been my impression as well. Just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed anything. Thanks.

Wouldnt YJ be to expensive for netflix to make without some form of extra $$$ coming in than just their normal subscriptions?

I want this back as a season 3,movie,live action,or comic.

I believe it would cost about $13 million to make a 26 episode season of YJ. There are fans that have been upgrading their service and letting Netflix know it's in favor of a third season. Also, Netflix is a multi-billion dollar company that recently shelled out $60 million on a shitty Adam Sandler movie. I'm sure they can afford it.

Also, why would you want it back as any of those? Movie would be too short. Live action would be too limited and more expensive than animation. A comic book would be the equivalent of a new episode every month. I'd rather have it back as an animated show.

But it probably does mean that you shouldn't expect much to come of it.

Even if the campaign worked, these kind of dealings take a lot of time, plus some time to keep it a secret. I wouldn't expect an immediate answer either way.

Netflix commissioned Studio MIR (Legend of Korra) to work on one of Dreamworks's upcoming animated series, most likely Voltron.
