Since the ides behind Rebirth seems (with a few exceptions) to be to concentrate on the classic and most popular characters, to get the sales numbers up, and these characters are mostly white, it's very likely that the opposite will happen in Rebirth.

Has Rebirth Blue Beetle been confirmed to be Jaime?

You can have a variety of genres in terms of stories like the ones in Gotham Academy, Animal Man, Black Hawks and so on.

The question folks want to know is where are those stories with POC & LGBT?

Where are the writers and editors that can actually put some legit effort into making interesting POC?

Because for 5 years we have seen Dc present some of the WORST characters of color in comics. Established ones either ruined or sitting in limbo. Offensive ones get introduced. New ones start out well and fall apart later on. Horrible characterizations. The few who didn't start out like that and had success saw it taken from them. Writers fighting editors over what can can can not be done.

While Midnighter, Gotham Girls, the Asian girl from We Are Robin have fared well-there are a collection of train wrecks heading to Rebirth and the excuses especially from fans have gotten OLD.
I think the thing people are not understanding is DC is a company and any companies goal is to sustain the products that are working and the ones that simply don't need to go because there causing more harm to the company then good. It sounds harsh but most of the titles that had some character of nationality didn't sell and that could be on DC but that could also be on the fans. To support a comic you need enough people who are going to pick it up consistently and if they have any objections towards how something is being handled in the comic just get it voiced as loud as you possibly can to the conpany. Look at several titles that have been changed in terms of creative teams for that reasoning.

It would be nice though to have writers who understand a characters ethnic and culture to write that said character but that's not just on the company the people reading that need to voice that to DC. Comment on solicits and Facebook pages, DC's page etc.

I don't think the best way for DC to sell a minority is by pushing out a bunch of questionable titles when there already in supposed debt. It would be having characters appear in other comics/team up/guest star/ or regular in other comics and then fans reaching out to say "hey we want to see more of that character" like Harley for example.
