No, it wouldn't. What you are talking about are two different things. Following one character has nothing to do with a first person view. And a first person view wouldn't exclude jumping to other characters POV. A first person view wouldn't even mean they would need to keep that POV as a normal look through the eyes POV. You ever see Enter the Void? When that character dies his POV shot leaves his body and goes all over the place. The Maniac remake from two years back was all POV too, and that didn't cause problems. You seem to be under the impression that is is some kind of new thing, it's only really new in so far as it's being done in a action feature length film this time.
Being shot in a first person POV style also does not mean you'll never see the main character either.
