Understanding the Legion of superheroes in the new-52

Hi guys recently I finished reading action comics vol 1 and in the volume the Legion helps superman save he's ship but what I wanted to know is,are the Legioners from that story are the same characters who also had a new 52 series I'm little bit confused.

I don't think it is the same Legion. In the first issue of the post-Flashpoint Legion series, they consider asking Superman for help but can't because of the "Flashpoint effect", whatever that is. Meanwhile, the Legion Superman meets destroy their own future to save Superman's life in Action Comics # 18, and they don't care because their future has become a hellish dystopia due to Universo becoming President. My guess is that that's the Legion of the post-Flashpoint Earth-0, or Superman's world. The DC wiki seems to regard the Legion from the Legion ongoing as the same one created post-Zero Hour, and I guess I don't see any reason to disagree with that.

I did think that Cosmic Man's Legion, the one Superman knew as a kid and who he teamed up with in Action # 6, suffered a really depressing fate; I keep hoping someone will bring him and his world back and the Legion they can defeat Universo and rescue the galaxy from his insane tyranny, but I don't think DC's really interested. Damn.
