    U.S.AVENGERS

    1. LIBERATOR – Jamie Summers, a gravely injured military servicewoman, volunteered for bionic augmentation (performed by her scientist father) after narrowly surviving an enemy ambush. She served covertly as the newly-organized CSA’s superhuman operative but rocketed into the public spotlight while defending Manhattan during an a would-be alien invasion.
Inspiration: steve rogers, carol danvers, and Wendell vaughn

    2. THE AMERICAN – former leading man actor, Ralph “Rex” Hanley, whose substance abuse landed him in and out of rehab experienced a career resurgence after finding (and being bonded to) a power-granting suit of extraterrestrial origin (that last part is hidden from the public due to anti-alien sentiment). So far, Hanley’s stuck to the more predictable array of superhuman abilities (flight, super strength, etc).
Inspiration: a little tony stark, a little simon Williams, a little captain universe
MIGHTY ASET – a self-proclaimed Egyptian goddess whose motivations for aiding the Avengers are as mysterious as the woman; herself.
    Inspiration: mostly Thor

    3. C.I.C.A.D.A – Cybernetically Integrated Combat and Defense Armor was created and utilized by wealthy & brilliant industrialist/inventor Myles. Doctor Hawkins, at one time, was a self-described pacificst who funneled his creativity into creating life saving technology. This all changed after Hawkins lost his wife and the use of his legs in an alien attack. That led to the creation of the CICADA armors (they can also be controlled as a fleet) and various other weaponry employed by the hi-tech vigilante. Hawkins has developed a psychological dependence on the armor.
Inspiration: tony stark, henry pym, supreme power nighthawk, and james rhodes

    4. TEMP (formerly KID TIMELY) – child prodigy Quinn Mallory, under the tutelage of future evil time lord Samuel Beckett, created a means of exploring the space-time continuum; via his ‘Time Slide.’ Not wanting the competition, Beckett sabotaged the Slide. Instead of being left adrift in the time stream, the accident left Quinn with altered perception and the ability simulate super speed (by temporarily manipulating time).
Inspiration: peter parker, reed Richards, and quicksilver

    5. THE AUTONOMIC MAN – an artificial intelligence recovered from an alien ship and tweaked to assist law enforcement that rapidly evolved into a proactive crime fighter/interventionist. The Autonomic “Otto” was turned over to the Avengers; after going on trial for er unilateral nuclear disarmament, sedition, and some light mass murder. Power-wise, “he” is a lot like that other artificial being, The Vision. He’s also accompanied by a floating hard light polyhedron named “cursor” who is capable of creating makeshift weapons out of solidified light.
    Inspiration: the Vision

    6. WILDMAN – name classified – formerly a feral child raised by a tribe of north American sasquatch &, later, recruited by the military and given special forces training. Wildman’s an expert marksman (prefers archery), knife fighter, and has learned to mask his presence/”blur” his image by his adoptive sasquatch family. He’s often flanked by his “brother” who is strong enough to flip a truck and fast enough to overtake a moving vehicle (up to 60 miles per hour).
Inspiration: bucky barnes, rick jones, clint barton, and the Hulk

I did one of these a few years back, but I think it's time for a new attempt... ^^

    THE BLACK-VENGERS!!

    1 Black Panther
    2 Blue Marvel
    3 Power Man II
    4 War Machine
    5 Doctor Voodoo

    And... the token white... ^^

Possibly a bit on the nose, but also a dynamic team with tons of fan-favourites and classic Avengers.

really on the nose. but Marvel did it first in one of the Millenial Visions books. I think the roster was Power Man, Falcon, Misty Knight, Brother Voodoo, and Blade. but they were The Champions. anyways...

Whoa! An unexpected team, I must say! Quite dangerous as well - don't let their obscure status fool you, folks - all of these villains are actually immensely powerful or capable.

Haha regarding Millennial Visions btw - most of those teams were indeed obviously meant as too crazy to ever get green-lit, indeed - I wonder what the story regarding that one-shot was? Would be interesting to hear a comic-book Legends on that one - it's certainly an odd little thing. What was the point of it all...?

Btw - I love Marvunapp - it's an outstandingly great little resource - you can lose hours upon hours if you immerse yourself too much in there! = )

Luke Cage I'm no fan of Bendis but I have to admit, more through Ewing's work I've come to regard Luke as a legit Avengers leader. He'll serve that role here, and team muscle. I like to have a Green Arrow type figure on the big cosmic type teams to just remind them about the little people.

Iron Patriot (Toni Ho) is team brain, a position she holds due to being both more stable and more morally upright than Hank. Plus another thing I have to concede to BMB is that the niconography of the patriotic armour wearer is a very nice shortcut to feeling Avengery.

Hank Pym Brought the team together, seeking to reclaim his peace of mind and place in the Avengers' pantheon. He's returning to his Scientific Adventurer days, and though he's ceded the positions of team leader and chief scientist he's still responsible for the composition of the team. Something he and Luke clash over as Hank sees this as a chance to redeem others. Luke while fully in favour of that is reluctant to try it in the field after his time with the Thunderbolts.

Goblin Knight (Phil Urich) is one of Hank's projects. He's trying to return to heroism by learning and living by the true ways of a knight. Something that has led him to apprentice in both Wundagore, and under Dane Whitman. He's still struggling with his mental health, which is part of the reason Heather's there.

Moondragon her presence is a sort of double edged sword. She's there ostensibly to counsel and help heal both Phil and Hank on their path to recovery. She however sees this asa chance to manipulate the Avengers to be more suited to her views. While Hank is using the chance to try and rehabilitate her into someone more generally welcome among other heroes.

Martyr (Phylla Vell) is really here accompanying her wife, and Hank is hoping that fact will help him to through the examples of people like Luke, Sam, and Toni soften her also into less of a hard nosed pragmatist. We have her rocking the Nega Bands again and likely changing her code-name to something once I can think of something appropriate.

Cannonball - Sam's the classic blonde haired, blue eyed idealist the Avengers usually have in Captain America. He's a veteran hero and a family man being groomed to succeed Luke who is eager to return to a less super lifestyle.
