Think of it as a grown up/Marvel version of the original Teen Titans; Robin, Wonder Girl, Speedy, Aqualad, Kid Flash.
It gives us a pretty volatile but potentially effective team.

Whoever wrote this would def. have their hands full yeah, in terms of inserting humor but i think it could work.
Namor and Pietro would have a good rivalry. They’re both such condescending alpha pricks, trying to one up each other (and egged on by Hawkeye) would be natural, but would eventually turn into mutual respect.
Hawkeye and WS i can see having a good rapport. WS can be lighthearted, and Hawkeye very professional.
Carol isn’t a favorite of mine tbh, but i can see her as a straight man here, hopefully not as abrasive as she’s usually written.
I'd love a Dark Avengers book with Robot Master and Gaunt.
Captain America- Sam Wilson, Flying around smacking the hell out of bad guys with the shield. His partner is Steve Rogers reincarnated into the Form of a super intelligent super Strong bald eagle with which Sam shares a telepathic rapport Steve is aware of his previous life as a human but is happier this way.
