Lady Sif
Winter Soldier
Red Hulk
Emma Frost
Wasp
Ant-Man (Eric O'Grady)
Black Panther
Reed Richards
Agent Abigail Brand
Black Widow

I made some changes to my original list, remembering that I didn't have Vision on any team, or any Inhumans
Avengers
-Captain America
-Captain Marvel
-Iron Man
-Ant Man (Pym)
-Wasp
-Spider-Man
-Spider-Woman
-Hulk
-She-Hulk
-Doctor Strange
-Scarlet Witch
-Thor
-Storm
-Inferno
Defenders
-Nick Fury Sr.
-Nick Fury Jr.
-Black Widow
-Hawkeye
-War Machine
-Moon Knight
-Winter Soldier
-Quicksilver
-Falcon
-Boom Boom
-Black Panther
-Medusa
-Fandral
-Vision
These are the people anyway, I'm open to suggestion about how to distribute them. The Defenders, for example, have very few metahumans, while the Avengers have very few minorities.

Here's my dream team of Avengers:
Winter Soldier
Spiderman
Warpath
Spiderwoman
Mockingbird
Havok(like him as an Avenger)
Donna Troy(We all know DC is going to screw her up)
Human Torch(Johnny)
Ice Man
Scarlet Witch
This team would have so many interesting dynamics

I like this team a lot. Warpath would be interesting and youve got a few of my favorites. I think about this way too much, but here are my 3 ideal Avengers teams (for now )
West Coast Avengers
Hank Pym
Scarlet Witch
Living Lightning
Spiderwoman
Hawkeye
Mockingbird
Wonder Man
Powerhouse (Alex Power)
East Coast Avengers:
Captain America
Wasp
Black Knight
She-Hulk
Hercules
Justice
Firestar
Galactic Avengers:
Photon
Thor
Sersi
Vision
Crystal
Starfox
Quasar
Main Squad:
Captain America
Iron Man
Thor
Hulk
Hawkeye
Black Widow
Vision
Scarlet Witch
Polaris
Black Panther
New Avengers Squad
Havok
Falcon
Wolverine
Sunspot
Cannonball
Wasp
Spider-Man
I will say, though, that it prefer it when there isn't a bunch of various Avengers teams running around and like how the New Avengers run now doesn't actually feature an Avengers team. I just didn't want a 17 person squad. I struggled having 10, but I just couldn't bring myself to remove anybody.

My main Avengers squad. The Protectors of Earth, the best of the best (basically the Marvel analog of the JL):
1)Captain America/Superman (the patriotic superhero that everyone looks up to)
2)Iron Man/Cyborg (the tech based hero who is more machine than man)
3)Hawkeye/Green Arrow (the archer amongst gods)
4)Spider-Man/Flash (smart guy who gets super-powers out of a freak accident)
5)Black Panther/Batman (super smart vigilante who relies on his wits, training and gizmos)
6)Namor/Aquaman (king of Atlantis)
7)Thor/Shazam (the mystical based hero with ties to the gods)
8)Angela/Wonder Woman (the badass warrior female with ties to the gods)
9)Captain Britain/Green Lantern (the earthling whose powers are based on his will)
10)Scarlet Witch/Zatana (the female magician)
11)Black Bolt/Hawkman (the chosen leader of an alien race)
12)Ant-Man/Atom (the shrinker)
13)Hulk/Martian Manhunter (the green hero with a genius intelligence and even bigger raw power)

The Never Should be Avengers (even if some of them already are). - Popular characters (anti-heroes, mostly) with dubious morals who really don't fit as Earth's Mightiest HEROES.
Storm - I once thought that she had potentiaal as an Avenger, but Bendis' gross misuse of her helped sedment in my mind that Ororo will always put the X-Men ahead of everything else, so, best she stays with them. The best leader of the team I assembled, she'd call the shots.
Red Hulk - IMHO, always was better as a villain than a hero (or even an anti-hero). Basically an über-powered bad guy for the good guy to really kick the **** out of.
Red She-Hulk - If I thought Red Hulk was already bad, Red She-Hulk manages to be even more redundant.
Wolverine - Heroic or not, to me, Logan simbolizes everything Avengers shouldn't be.
Ghost Rider - See Wolverine. Spirit of Vengence or not, not Avenger material.
Ares - Another one who was much better as a villain than as a hero (proof of that is when he abuses his power to go after Hercules in the firts arc of his half-brother's series). In fact, before Bendis conviniantly forgit this, he was actually AN AVENGERS VILLAIN.
Elektra - Deadly assassin. Cool character, but not an Avenger.
Agent Venom - Makes me miss plain ol' Venom.
The Punisher - Nut job and Psycho. Yeah, best kept far and away.
Deadpool - Heck, this guy doesn't even qualify as an anti-hero.
Honorary members:
Howard the Duck, Squirrel Girl and Man-Thing.
Yeah, I've noticed how many members from the recent Thunderbolts my team of non-Avengers have. Well, I guess they can be a reall cool team, just not, IMHO, a team of Avengers.
Peace
