Assuming Cap, Thor and Iron Man would have their own titles going - I'd leave them out of it to give some other characters to shine.

- Black Knight, Dane - Leader
- Wonder Man, Simon - the power house
- Spectrum, Monica - for the speedster
- Andromeda, for the sea stuff, connection to Atlantis/Namor
- Yellowjacket, Rita DeMara resurrected (seeking redemption)
- Deathcry, who was restored to life in Chaos War: Dead Avengers #5 (also seeking to learn to control herself)

A "new" Character - who gains entrance to the Avengers headquarters - fights similar to Captain America - calling himself "Drifter" - who wears a mask. Eventually revealed to be Jack Monroe, formerly Nomad - pissed he woke up in a grave. He wants to find out who put him there....

Yellow Jacket (Hank Pym, returned in all his glory, having acess to all his varios powers in all his various identities in a new, revamped, YJ costume. I've always loved the Avengers pictures with a large giant standing in the background, and Hank is it)
Wasp (Janet Van Dyne. With Hank back, she should be back also, to help him adjust. Plus, I'm not gonna use the other founders, so these two should be around)
Wonder Man (Simon Williams. The powerhouse. No more Mr. Nice Guy pacifist for this one. Simon will show how powerful he truely is. No Vizh and no Wanda around. I'd like to see Simon develop away from them)
She-Hulk (Jen Walters. Back to smart, powerful and sexy woman. Let her cousin be the dumb, ugly one. With her, Simon and Hank, this team will not suffer for lack of muscle)
Spectrum ( Monica Rambeau. Power, lots of power. Nuff said)
Hawkeye (Clint Barton. I'd like to bring back the great Avenger Hawkeye. Smart, loud-mouthed and always resourceful. There are pleanty of Avengers in this team with whom Clint has strong connections. It'll be fun to see them develop further)
Falcon (Sam Wilson. Sam deserves a spot in the Avengers which isn't directly or indirectly linked to Captain America, be it due to being his partner or replacement. Plus, I don't think the consequences of him serving with Hawkeye, whom he replaced when he first joined, were ever explored. Plus, is there ant chemestry between Sam and Monica?)
Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew. I'd like to see Jessica develop further as an Avenger in a team with more classic Avengers. She has a set of skills that may prove very useful among so many powerhouses)
Starfox (Eros of Titan. I really wanted to explore further his psionic powers, as well as his physical abilities, after all, we're talking about the brother of Thanos, and the son of Mentor, both among the most powerful Eternals ever. I also wanted to explore a telepath in the Avengers, and the three of them, Mantis, Moondragon and Sersi, are pretty busy elsewhere - Eros is just believed dead. Easy peasy. Are his psionic powers empathic in nature? If he can stimulate the pleasure centers of the brain, how about the pain centers? Plus, while he has a lot to explain to former teammates Wasp, She-Hulk and Spectrum, it'll be intresting to see how Eros deals with Jessica's phermone powers).

That's it. I'd love to bring in Hank as the leader also, but there are other more capable leaders in the team, namely Wasp,Falcon, Spectrum and, once upon a time, Hawkeye. I guess Wasp would be my pick. It's a powerful team, with Flyers galore (Hank, Jan, Wondy, Spi, Sam, Monica, Eros), pleanty of muscle (Wondy, Shulkie, Hank and Eros, and even Spi, to a lesser degree), scientific expertise ( Hank Pym and Eros), fire-power ( Hank, Jan, Monica, Spi, Hawk) and skill (Hawk, Spi and Sam), heavy on alpha personalities (Hank, Jan, Sam, Monica and Clint), and I'd love to pit them against some classic Avengers foes, and some who haven't had the spotlight in a very long time.
