I am a Marvel fan preferably cosmic storylines, especially Thanos or Dark Phoenix related, when both the Avengers and the X-Men are involved count me in, loved the original Uncanny Avengers series.
Not a fan of any of the new characters.

    Wasp / Janet Van Dyne
    Captain America / Steve Rogers
    Iron Man / Tony Stark
    Thor
    Black Panther / T'Challa
    Human Torch / Johnny Storm
    Snowbird / Narya

Hank Pym is brought onto the team (as Yellowjacket) after an arc in which he is finally split from Ultron. Vision and Scarlet Witch are both recurring cast members, although they're reserves and not active teammates.

Our first story: a series of massive volcanic eruptions in the Arctic Circle is more than just a geological crisis- it's the return of the Lava Men and the Incineration of Avengers Mountain! Even with the help of old friends and new allies, will the Avengers be able to save the locals and stop the Lava Men in time to stave off irreversible ecological damage?

That’s kind. I wanted to incorporate a couple of my favorite team eras or concepts.

Rambeau and Druid from their shared Avengers run, 3 villains (Kooky Quartet idea), Mechnonaut (Avengers try out team), Nightmask (Avengers Machine), Quasar (80s-90s rookie), Giant-Man (90s techno-powerhouse).

I especially dig Batroc and Doc Druid on the Roster. That’s a fun dynamic to imagine ad then also the rest of the team having to deal with them.. I always found Batroc a very fun character. Anybody who can hang in a fight with Cap could cut it as an Avenger. I’ve always liked Monica, too.

The trickster god's millennia of mistakes have finally caught up to him. Every time Loki shuts his eyes, he's greeted with the vision of Echidna, Queen of Monsters, and mother of his mistreated former consort Angerboda. The Elderspawn's chief priestess has sworn that she'll hunt the Asgardian across the Ten Realms, and she promises to leave boundless destruction in the wake of her demonic horde.

Loki, of course, needs protection. He flees to Midgard to find the help of his brother, telling him the half-truth that Echidna plans on destroying Earth with her swarm of monsters. In a twist on the founding mythos of the original Avengers roster, Loki desperately assembles a team of Midgard's Mightiest Heroes under the pretense of defending the planet from this invader... despite the fact that he basically just needs protection from his pissed Mother-in-Law.

THE AVENGERS (w. CaptainCroatia or Al Ewing, a. Stuart Immonen)

    Loki Laufeyson
    see above

    Thor
Obviously Loki's first pick, as the guy who kicks his ass on the reg.

    Captain America (Steve Rogers)
In Loki's eyes, one of the greatest strategic minds he's ever witnessed.

    Wasp (Janet Van Dyne)
The core of the team that was first assembled to beat him, Janet is also a revered tactician in Loki's eyes.

    Hawkeye (Kate Bishop)
One of Loki's "friends" from his Young Avengers days, and it's always fun when a younger character graduates to the big leagues.

    Yellowjacket (Hank Pym)
Loki believes him to be Earth's smartest scientific mind. After all, he exposed his treacherous disguise as the Scarlet Witch when Stark couldn't see through it, and it was Hank and his army of ants that defeated him the first time the Avengers and Loki fought. Loki summons his Ultron-infused body from the depths of space and purges him of the robot conqueror's influences... temporarily, at least. Of course, his selection causes some tension in the team, but what's a story without conflict? Also, he's going by Yellowjacket because he discovers that that's the only alias of his not currently being used.

    Namor
A fellow Cabal alum, Namor's the kind of jerk Loki likes to have around. His history as Echidna's commander will also prove useful in the team's first fight.

    She-Hulk
Loki's well aware of her cousin's destructive power, and he's equally aware that Jennifer's far more stable and useful than Bruce. And hey, since we're twisting the Avengers origin story, it's fun to have Loki manipulating a Hulk in different circumstances.

    America Chazez
Another of Loki's YA affiliates, the team's teleporter and tertiary muscle. Over the course of the run, she develops (and then un-develops) a very one-sided emnity directed towards Captain America.

I like this. I don't particularly care for a couple of the characters, but I like how you connected everyone to Loki, ot the threat, in some way. You actually have quite a powerful team. I'd love to read more about this.

    Peace
