It's really hard for me to come up witha Dream Avengers roster, because from my way of thinking, the Avengers roster shouldn't be static. Every few issues somebody should be coming or going. That just feels more like the Avengers to me, a group that keeps changing.

Now if I were to write the Avengers, I would want to start with the BIG names. Have an all-star team then quickly watch as it falls apart and slowly gets repacled by the B anmd C listers... and maybe even some utter failures as well.

i was supportive and enjoyed the 70's rosters. i don't see a return of some of them though, like beast, swordsman, mantis, or yellow jacket. are they even still alive?

He came back briefly during the Chaos War event and then the readers were told by Brevoort he and the Rita Demara Yellowjacket supposedly went back to the "death realm" at the end (all the other revived Avengers sacrificed themselves over the course of the story), though we never saw it. Personally, I'd love to see a book where the two of them are still alive but in hiding, having turned their backs on the whole superhero thing...until something forces them back in, of course.
