IMHO there should be only one major Avengers team.With that I mean that you can still have situation specific teams like the Secret Avengers (espionage), Mighty (street), Supernatural and all that, just not more than one Avengers team that deals with the huge threats.No brackets or anything like that, just Earth's Mightiest Heroes united against the biggest threats.

After much though i'd say that this is my dream team though for various reasons:

1)Cap (Can't have the Avengers without him)
2)Beta Ray Bill (I like Thor but I find Bill a tad more interesting)
3)Yellowjacket (I loooooove this costume and Hank)
4)Hercules (one of the funniest characters around)
5)Professor Hulk (my favorite incarnation of the Green Goliath since I love his snarky attitude)
6)Ms. Marvel (probably my favorite heroine)
7)Scarlet Witch (tied with Ms. Marvel for the top spot)
8)Black Panther (The most bad-ass king ever)
9)Captain Britain (come on, he's the guardian of the Omniverse)
10)Spider-Man (probably my favorite hero ever so here you go)
11)Iron Man (he's part of the dynamical duo)
12)Doctor Strange (you need a full blown sorcerer)
