She's in a bad place after being put into a coma and with Mystique impersonating her. It just looks to me she wants to get away from herself because of Mystique's corruption of the Dazzler image. I think after awhile Dazzler will get away from this new look. I agree with you Alex. After she gets through this phase she should go with a costume similar to the Age of X look.

Oh dear God kill it with fire before it lays eggs. I get that she's going through an angry at the world phase but ugh that looks bad. Why couldn't they just bring back her counterpart's X-Force look? That was actually good.

Totally agree, there seems to be this idea among a lot of writers that to become relevant and in focus a character has to lose their innocence and lighter sides and get 'darker'. It's no wonder my favourite X-Men like Kitty and Nightcrawler has pretty much defied that logic for the most part.

So true. It was the same approach applied to Bette in Batwoman recently. Apparently with modern superhero comics if you like the concept of a nice hero(ine) you are simply SOL. I'm not sure it is entirely the writers fault. To be fair they may just be responding to the "I'm too edgy cool badass to be likeable" MO that so many fans seem to respond to.

Yuck. And don't even mention the awesome Ultimate Dazzler that they killed in the same breath as this horribly done take on the look. Ultimate Dazzler still looked hot this looks like ugly toon version of that.
