Default Trying to track down forgotten reprints with new dialogue

Hello Everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. I've always admired how knowledgeable the members of this forum are whenever someone is trying to track down a long-lost comic. Well, I have a situation that feels like an itch that just can't be scratched. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.

Here's the relevant info: I remember browsing a comic shop 6-8 years ago here in the US and seeing a group of comics that were apparently reprints of older material, but with funny new dialogue inserted. There may have been five or six issues total, and I believe they were collected into a TP. Please note they weren't the Marvel romance reprints from around the same time. They were from an independent publisher, and each issue covered a different genre. One of them was horror, and I actually remember the cover showed a man with a monster behind him, while he says something like "The monster's right behind me, isn't it?"

At the time, I passed on them because I had to be careful with my money, but now I'd like to track them down. The problem is, doing a Google search using works like "comic book" with "new dialogue" returns many results about how to write comics. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

Sounds a bit like Last Kiss - http://www.lastkisscomics.com/ - but not exactly.

Looks like I'll just have to cross this off my list. Oh, well.

That's not far off, but I'm 99 percent sure there were other genres involved too, such as romance and superhero. Thanks for the suggestion.

I really hesitate to mention this detail, but the company's cover logo with the pricing info MAY have been a drawing of a gorilla. That's probably an unrelated memory, though.
