    Director = Tone.

    Change the director and the tone changes.

    Another criticism I hear is that the characters "aren't developed enough, and it leaves off on a sort of cliffhanger that leads into Justice League"....YET TFA GETS CRITICAL ACCLAIM DESPITE DOING FAR LESS WITH IT'S CHARACTERS.

    Yeah, because the comedic Russo Bros made Winter Soldier a hilarious good time, right?

    Bruce Timm, and Dini, did both the BTAS, and STAS, did they not?

    The tone is on purpose, because it serves the story being told.

    Can't they give the keys to JL to Affleck? He is a better director than Snyder.

    Problem isn't that it's dark. It's that it isn't much fun. BvS is more like someone trying to make a philosophically deep movie than actually hitting that. The Dark Knight was a pretty dark and gritty movie so why is it considered the best superhero movie ever? Because it was still enjoyable and never dour or bland like Man of Steel.

    The Russo Bros. were freelance directors on community episodes, they didn't create the show from scratch. They obviously had to abide by certain rules and the existing world they worked in. When it came to Cap, they've said it many times that theyre hardcore action fans and have an eye for the world Cap is in. Its safe to say Winter Soldier is more in line with their filmmaking than anything else.

    Snyder is only into grime, gore and action. If you're thinking he can make a movie thats character driven with hope and fun, you're fooling yourself.

    I don't trust Snyder. He keeps f*cking everything up. He is the weak link.

    Rumor is Ben Affleck did the rewrites for BvS. So if the movie really sucks, then he's part of the blame.

    Those rumors were debunked. Besides I think it is time to stop blaming the writers. Goyer basically took the blame for Man of Steel but Snyder can't hide behind anyone this time

    I haven't seen all of Daredevil season2, but there's already a dichotomy between DD and Punisher, the very same one Bats and Supes *should* have. Also DD is TV-MA, they can show more than PG-13.....and PG-13's "dark and gritty" is nothing more than glowering faces and growls.
    I'm gonna say that you really shouldn't criticize something like the scenes, cuts, and camera shots in a movie if YOU YOURSELF have still not seen it. Regardless of what anyone else says, you haven't experienced it yourself so I don't think you have any way to justify your opinion.

    Oh my god, the movie isn't even out yet. SEE IT! Then make up your mind! Unless you're scared you might actually like it.
