It feels like the beginning of the end in Peter Milligan and Valentine De Landro's "Shadowman: End Times" #1. The slow and padded story is nevertheless an accessible and worthy enough introduction for new readers.

Love that this expands the mythos of Shadowman and pulls back the curtain just a little more. Jack Boniface and his family remain as a huge well of information waiting for Valiant to tap into. Milligan has just the correct approach to this very complicated character and I look forward to him sharing more of Jack's past and future with all of us. His take on this series is the definitive one to date and I hope Valiant lets him expand and share his vision with all of us.
