So a new (and classic) BOP team assembles with Rebirth.
There were lots of character choices for this one, and I love the Batgirl, Black Canary, Huntress combo.

Given the choice, which five heroes would have made the team?

My picks would be the classic Batgirl, Canary (although I think I hit bluebird instead sadly) and Huntress. Then I would add party girls Lady Blackhawk & Flamebird.

You're really opening a potential can of worms or three by not specifying which Huntress (Helena Wayne, Helena Bertinelli, or even maybe going back to Paula Brooks?) or which Lady Blackhawk (Zinda Blake, Natalie Reed, or the New52 version).
Also wish you had included previous members Starling (Evelyn Crawford) and Strix (Mary Turner, former Talon).

I prefer BoPs cast to be small. I like when its more of a partnership then a super team. Not that im opposed to it as a super team or anything.

Love all these characters, but I went with Dinah, Helena, Harper and Stephanie.
I'll give Babs and Kate their own books, keep Cass in 'Tec.

Batgirl, Black Canary and Huntress... this is it. I love the core Birds of Prey. Even if Cass is one of my favorites, i prefer her solo so the trio is enough for me.

You can't do BoP without the core trilogy (Gordon, Lance and Bertinelli), hence why the recent New 52 volume was underwhelming and bad.

Though it is hard to do BoP without Barbara being Oracle. I do hope the new volume gives Batgirl Oracle traits and/or Frankie helps out the team as tech support.

I hope Frankie plays a part in the new BoP volume, and we get guest appearances from Batwoman, Orphan, Katanna, Spoiler and Shiva. Hopefully we get the introduction of the Nu Lady Blackhawk in the title too.
