The Joker should never have an origin. I was even pissed that Snyder was to on the nose with his Joker origin in Zero Year. To me, regardless of knowing who was under that mask or not, that person under that hood had a personality and mission. All Snyder did was give him a smile. To me that's way to much of an origin for Joker. Irritates me more now that Snyder has been all, "Joker is nobody. Joker shouldn't have an origin. In recent interviews."

now granted people have given him origins over the year's, and it seems that Joker always goes back to being nobody. Almost like the character won't allow himself to have an origin.

The concept of him being nobody just works. It makes him more creepy knowing that this guy just pops up, and ends up doing so just because Batman exist. When Batman is gone, Joker seems to back off, even get depressed.

In any case I do agree that if you're going to give him a name, Jack Napier seems to be a cool one.

That people said, my wild care pick will be that Joker's real name is, Bruce Wayne. Watch it be some weird shit like that.

Since the cover shows multiple jokers maybe this is the identity of the new 52 joker. Also they said they arnt going back to pre flash point universe, they are going forward. Does going forward mean a brand new universe? I know they said its not a reboot but they said the same with n52. Maybe the joker has a big part in rebirth than anybody thought?

They already teased it with Batman saying that is impossible when he first got in the chair, the "real name" is going to be The Joker and really not going to reveal anything except he that he is the Joker, always has been always will be.
