Does anyone else find the Joker's (most common) origin story (starting as a failed comedian in a robbery gone bad) incredibly lame? I mean, it just doesn't seem to add up.

I always found Adam West's personal idea for the Joker's backstory a lot more interesting:

Adam: Travis, I did a little backstory in my head for Joker. I reasoned the insanity, whatever you want to call his psychopathic quality—I reasoned that he was kidnapped by a perverted clown when he was a youngster.
