    Update...

    Level 13

    Heroes:
    Hawkeye 19
    Iron Fist 19
    Wasp 18
    Vision 16
    Groot 14
    Black Widow (new) 10
    She-Hulk 10
    Hank Pym 9
    Drax (new) 7

    Story Chapter 3
    PVP Rank 15
    Spec Ops 1 - Task 14

    Some brief notes...
    1. On your 7th Day, you get to choose a new character from Black Widow, Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man and Thor. Reading comments online, it looks like Iron Man is the best of the bunch. Especially for PVP. However, I went with Black Widow because I'm working on a Marvel Knights/Heroes for Hire type of team.
    2. When doing Spec Ops Task 11 (Masochist), I found it beneficial to go through SO Mission 2, following the Hydra trail. Just be sure not to accidentally kill the Bruisers before they put up a Protect buff.
    3. To conserve energy, when you finish Task 11, go ahead and ditch Mission 2 and go into Mission 3. Unless you have any heroes deployed.
    4. Crossfire (the last Boss on Mission 3) is actually pretty easy, but the two goons right before him are tricky as they swap Protect back and forth. It's useful to have area attacks and/or a hero that can attack protected targets.
    5. I've been pouring my Silver into ISO cannisters to level up my heroes since I'm focusing on Spec Ops and they don't get any XP from it.

Again here's the complete list of Spec Ops Tasks and requirements for each.

And here's a guide to the Daily Tasks.

Btw... I glanced at their Twitter feed and it looks like Valkyrie and Sif will be two of the next heroes added to the hero pool.

Your team-up ally saved the day for me. Thanks! I think it was Hawkeye....

    My progress:

    Commander Level 12
    Moon Knight 16
    Iron Man 15
    Hawkeye 14
AOU Hawkeye, Drax, Wasp, Hank Pym, Vision, and Starlord are all waiting at 9. Darned Scouting! Takes forever.

I opened Spec Ops today. Low 20's in PvP. For this tourney, all I'm hoping for is the 50 Gold prize, and that's probably a stretch.

When I get to the point of choosing my hero, it will be Hulk. He's my all-time favorite Marvel character. In MAA1, he was my first to 12, 13, 14, & 15.

    You're very welcome.
I think I borrowed your Moon Knight today.
After some time playing now, I have to admit that I like the Ally system in MAA2 much better than in MAA1. It feels like an actual benefit and it's nice to have a temp character to break the monotony.

    Yay! You're in Spec Ops!
IIRC, you'll get about 48 Scout tokens by the time you're half done with Spec Ops. Those will come in handy.

I've settled on the 50 Gold, myself, in PVP. I'll do my Three Wins for the day and then only continue if I dropped out of the Ranking and have to climb back up.

Thor's one of my favorites and I almost went with him instead of Black Widow. I stared at that screen for a long time. Lol. All I really knew was that I didn't want Captain America or Hulk.
I've seen all five of them in PVP, so that's a good sign. Means you really can't go wrong with any of them.

    Useful Specs Op Path chart.

Especially when you get the last Task and need to find out how to unlock Epic Yellowjacket.
I need to go back through Mission 2 and fight Bowman to unlock the right path.

I picked up Black Panther. Moved up my higher level heroes a bit. Still need goodies from the Scouting Missions to get my 9's through the roadblock. Also got one of IM's 1 star moves to 2 stars. Huge improvement. Can't wait to see how much damage it does at 3 & 4.

    Congrats on Black Panther.
I haven't seen him much in either PVP or allies, so he seems pretty rare.
He's on my want list along with Moon Knight.

Yeah, the 2-stars are much better than the 1-stars. I've gone through my characters and every 1-star ability I have slotted got trained up to 2-stars.
But only for the abilities I had slotted. With Iron Fist I upgraded all his 1-stars and then realized I wouldn't be using all of them and needed AP on the other heroes.

    My update...

    Level 14

    Heroes:
    Hawkeye 19
    Iron Fist 19
    Wasp 19
    Groot 16
    Vision 16
    Black Widow 14
    She-Hulk 14
    Drax 13
    Hank Pym 13

    Story Chapter 3
    PVP Rank 15
    Spec Ops 1 - Task 18

    Some brief notes...
    1. I had to spend Gold to skip Spec Ops Task 15 (Category 5) because I have no characters with Hinder abilities. Here's a list of characters that have Hinder.
    2. I also spent 20 Gold to refresh my Scouting Tokens four times. This allowed me to get the rest of my characters over the 9th level hurdle and quickly deal with Spec Ops Task 16 (Three Quarters) at the same time.
    3. As mentioned above, I had to go back to Mission 2 and fight Bowman to unlock the right path in Mission 3 that leads to Epic Yellowjacket. I probably would've already unlocked it if I had a hero with Hinder for Task 15, since Bowman is on the path in Mission 2 after Whirlwind.
    4. I will probably go back to story missions while my energy is low and try to level up so I'll get max energy and have enough to complete Task 18 sooner. I should have Ant-Man by my next update.
    5. Something from MAA1 that could be useful in MAA2 is the Quinjet missions so your heroes can be productive when you're not playing and will give a reason to gain more characters.

Again here's the complete list of Spec Ops Tasks and requirements for each and the Specs Ops Path chart.
And the guide to the Daily Tasks.

    Got Hulk!!!!!!

Slowly chipping away at getting heroes leveled up. Still a traffic jam at 9 with most of them. Hulk went to the head of the line & took advantage of a timely research fulfillment. He's already at 18.

So, MAA2 will acknowledge Civil War. MAA1 will not, but that's okay.

    Congrats on getting Hulk!

Don't be afraid to use Gold to refill your Scouting tokens. 5 Gold gets you 36 tokens.
Combine that with your Trials if possible. The Level 10 Scouting is a great way to get the "use X ten times" quickly out of the way.

I'll have my update for today shortly.

    Today's update...

    Level 19

    Heroes:
    Hawkeye 23
    Iron Fist 22
    Black Widow 21
    Ant-Man 19
    Drax 19
    Groot 19
    Hank Pym 19
    She-Hulk 19
    Vision 19
    Wasp 19
    AoU Vision (new) 13

    Story Chapter 3
    PVP Rank 5

    Notes:
    1. I ranked up Iron Fist to 2 stars.
    2. I ranked up Hawkeye's Multi-Arrow to 3 stars and he solos most mobs, wiping them all out in one shot.
    3. I swapped out Wasp with Black Widow in my core group. This shifted my strategy from Stun/DoT/Heal to Stun/Stun/Heal.
    4. I just drew Black Widow's Ballerina in a capsule. Haven't had a chance to use it, yet. Can't wait to see how effective it is.
    5. I'm happy with PVP Rank 5, so I will probably just do the three wins per day and try to maintain my rank for the next few days.
    6. I'm on the last mission of Chapter 3. Will be ready for Chapter 4 soon.
    7. The most challenging part of the game for me has been deciding on which crystals to sell off to either clear room or get enough Silver to level someone up.

    Still updating my game...

From what I'm gathering online, Spec Ops 2 will have two paths.
After Mission 1 you'll have to choose a side- Iron Man or Captain America.
The hero reward you receive will depend on the side you choose. The Iron Man path grants Winter Soldier and the Captain America path grants Falcon.
No word, yet, if you can go back and choose the other path after you complete it. Or even if it will reward you with the second hero reward.

Something else I'm reading is that there's restrictions on which heroes you can use on either side.
You may want to wait on picking a side until a full list of heroes for each size materializes.
I've read that someone chose one side and got stuck because one of their heavy hitters wasn't usable and they didn't have a back-up that was strong enough for the missions.
For people with large rosters of evenly leveled characters, this may not be a big problem.
But for those that poured everything into three specific heroes for PVP, this has the potential to set them back a bit.

    EDIT:
I started Spec Ops 2 and discovered one of the best updates to the game:

Spec Ops uses it's own energy now!
Which means you no longer have to choose to use your energy for Story Mode or Spec Ops Mode.
    Yaay!

And it appears that you actually gain 5 Spec Ops energy for each fight you complete in Story Mode with an Ally.

    EDIT 2:
When you choose a side, it will tell you which heroes you can't use. And gives you an option to decline so you can look at the other choice.
Of my eleven heroes, only three were affected.
She-Hulk and Hank Pym couldn't be used on Captain America's path.
Wasp couldn't be used on Iron Man's path.
I chose Captain America because I like Falcon more than Winter Soldier.

    The patch broke my game.
"I rhyme with tyre - And cause pollution - I think you'll find - It's the best solution: What Am I?"

"And that's the essential problem with 'Planetary' right there. When Elijah Snow says, 'The world is a strange place'... he gets Dracula, Doc Savage and Godzilla... When we say it, we get The Captain Fire-Cock Rock 'n' Roll Spectacular."
