I wanted to pass along that in the current Bat-Books crossover--Fear State--they just introduced Peacekeeper X, the new Gotham City super-soldier. Ricardo Huertas is the man under the mask, misguided good guy(?) working for some bad guys. In the past, there haven't been many Latinos in the Gotham mythos.

That’s super cool! Fingers crossed that the character takes off.

Well there’s Bane and Rene Montoya.

Last week they posted a picture of Jaime on their social media. Then they posted a pic of Jessica Cruz today. That’s pretty much it.

He’s on the cover of Batman 117 so he may have survived.

Appreciate the optimism. God knows I can use some. I saw that cover and while it does show him on it, I'm thinking since it's the Fear State finale that it may just be for show. After all, it also shows Ivy on the side of the Magistrate, which has never been the case.

The entire feat state/ magistrate program is ending with Tynion's run next month. After that, the batbooks are all moving on, and the aftereffects of the magistrate arc are only referenced in the solicitation of Jace's book. So even if he stays alive, I think it's unlikely he'll be a part of the main batbooks after the event (maybe he could appear in Jace's book).

But maybe Renee would get more focus in the following arcs. We know that Batwoman is going to play a part in the "shadows of the bat" event.

    Superman: just Gangbuster I guess
the Cir-El version of Supergirl(not in current continuity) was Hispanic.

Also... The current Supergirl in the Flashpoint movie has a Hispanic actress and... we're not sure exactly which Supergirl it's supposed to be.

Was it really confirmed that Cir El/Mia was Hispanic?

I think it would be cool if Sasha Calle’s Supergirl is action Cir El.

Mia absolutely was. The weird part is that Cir-El doesn't act it. But that's for mad science reasons.

I didn’t know it was confirmed in universe that Mia was Latina. I guess that’s why Lois knew she couldn’t be her daughter when she first saw her.

Yeah this is exactly it. Cir-El looked like she could be Kal-El's daughter. But not if Lois is the mother.
