Yeah he would be a White Latino! And yes I really hate this trope where Mestizo/Latino characters have to be kids or women! Where are all the men!

Idk why that trope is a thing, although I haven't noticed it myself

It isn't really a trope. DC has plenty of male latino characters who are adults, they just aren't used often. Which also applies to their female latina characters. Vibe, up until recently was a character on the Flash for example and Arrow created an entirely new male latino character for the cast.

What’s this I here of Elenor Lane, Lois Lane’s mother, having some Latina heritage.

Does that mean Lois is 1/4 Latina?

Another around of solits and Jaime Reyes is still not appearing in a book. But at least Jessica is starring in the Green Lantern Annual and Yara has a monthly comic. Joëlle Jones’ art is amazing!

Really good casting! He definitely looks the part and his character in Cobra Kai is very Jaime-like.

Does DC have any Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month specials planned?

No sign of Jaime Reyes anywhere and no acknowledgement of Heritage Month. Thanks DC.

Who's the woman standing behind him? she's literally in a snowdrift almost up to her knees... and not wearing any real clothes.

That's Ya'Wara, Jaguar Goddess of the Amazon and protector of the rainforests and their inhabitants. Member of the Others. That's about all I know of her.

Well he's back. Just not sure whether to be that excited for this seemingly comedic limited series, but will definitely be giving it a shot.

I’m just happy that it’s the Jose Delgado version. Yeah it’s kind of making fun of the characters on the team as “losers” but some of the best ever DC books featured teams of low grade characters. Secret Six, Ostrander’s Suicide Squad, and even JLI poked fun at itself. So hopefully Jose has some good moments here and we see him appear in more books after this.

Power Girl, Red Tornado, and Plastic Man can be written with tongue in cheek but they are still relatively popular DC characters. So at least he’s in good company.
