I'm curious, do people consider Crush latina? I know she's technically an alien (partially) but the way I've interpreted it, latino is more of a cultural heritage thing than more than anything racial and since I believe she was adopted and raised by a latino couple; so wouldn't she count as latino as well?
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki

also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.

    currently following:
    • DC: Red Hood: The Hill
    • Marvel: TBD
    • Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force

I don't remember her parents looking Latino (maybe her adopted mom?) but it doesn't seem to have informed her character much.

I don't think we've learned who her biological mom is yet.

From the solicit, it sounds like it's versions of DC heroes in the world of RWBY, but wouldn't it make more sense to feature more female heroes instead of the Trinity + Jessica?

Happy to see Jessica in a comic again though.

    On the May DC solicits.

    SUPERMAN #31
Written by: Phillip Kennedy Johnson | Art by: Scott Godlewski | Backup story written by: Sean Lewis | Backup story art: Sam Basri | Cover by: John Timms | Card stock variant cover by: Inhyuk Lee | On sale: 5/11/21 | $4.99 US | 40 PAGES | FC | DC | CARD STOCK VARIANT COVER $5.99 US

“The One Who Fell” part two!

And in the backup story, Jimmy Olsen’s plan to build a backup squad to help out his pal Superman looks like it’s already falling apart when two of its members, Loose Cannon and Gangbuster, would rather fight than be friends.

Nice to see someone finally remembers Gangbuster exists.

Yes , you are correct, "latino" has nothing to do with race. If she was raised in a Latinamerican family she could identify as a latina.

Surprised it took WB this long.

A superhero Latino lead movie is something their competitors don’t have on their plate. And Jaime Blue Beetle is an obvious choice for DCEU.

(I’m aware Oscar Isaac is Moon Knight)
