Renee is my fav by far. I enjoyed her run as The Question, but it'd be good if they gave her a mantle that was hers alone.

A little too on the nose for my taste having dealt with lots of military people suffering thorough ptsd, sigh. . . and then yes much like Hawkgirl on JLU she's just the go to lantern when they want to look more woke, but it... always FEEL illegitimate to me at least as long as there are infinite other lanterns just floating around "ON EARTH" no less. D.C. is so weird.

I feel like Jaime and his amazing friends is a book in waiting... that dc is just leaving money on the table with.
Jaime, Firestorm like in the injustice game... add stargirl.

Manga: My Hero Academia, MHA: Vigilanties, Soul Eater: the Perfect Edition, Berserk, Hunter X Hunter, Witch Hat Atelier, Kaiju No. 8

Seems like WB wants a Latina for the role of Cyclone (figures since Eiza Gonzalez was the front runner for Hawkgirl until the character was cut).

Basically names that have come up include Isabela Moner (Peruvian), Leslie Grace (Dominican), Rachel Zegler (Colombian) and Alexa Demie (Mexican).

Some of the best sellers of recent years have been YA books and ongoing series about young superheroes. The Beast Boy and Raven books and of course Marvel has Miss Marvel. This has also bleed into other media as young heroes seem to be huge sellers. The fastest growing demographic in the US is the Hispanic population. Basically, DC is leaving money on the table by not utilizing Blue Beetle to his fullest potential.

it's funny, they had a latina pop up as a wind manipulator on Black Lightning a while ago. I remember people speculating she could be that universe's Cyclone, now they may be casting actual Cyclone as a Latina. Full circle! I'm really interested to see how the JSA actually look like.
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki

also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.

    currently following:
    • DC: Red Hood: The Hill
    • Marvel: TBD
    • Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force

I need some help remembering a character's name. She is afro-latino, had a familial connection to Amanda Waller and was in one of DC's government agencies. I only remember seeing her on the DC wiki but I can't remember her name.

Havana. The bastard daughter of Amanda Waller’s that worked with Deadshot, Major Disaster and the Sgt Rock imposter in Suicide Squad around 2001.

How many Latinx heroes are popping up in Future State:

Yara, Jessica, Bunker ...is that it?
My priority is black female characters; everything else is secondary.

    ~~

Marvel: Miles Morales, Riri Williams, Ororo Munroe, Thor, Quentin Quire.
DC Comics: Vixen, Batman, Bat Family, John Stewart, Roy Harper, Tempest, Poison Ivy, Raven.
Comics: Y: The Last Man, Justice League America (2009), Ultimate Comics: All New Spider-Man (2011)
Ships: Thororo/ThunderStorm, Vixen/hasn't been created, Jason Todd/Kathy Duquesne.

Yup. This is what I think of DC's weak attempts at including more Latino superheroes.

Just curious. Are there Latinos in the families of each of DC’s major franchises? (Not counting civilian supporting characters).

    Superman: just Gangbuster I guess
    Batman: Renee Montoya
    Wonder Woman: Yara Flor
Flash: Godspeed. And I guess Vibe i features in the Tv series.
    Green Lantern: Kyle, Jessica
    Hawkman: Kendra?
Aquaman: Lorena was. Where is she?
    Blue Beetle: Jaime of course
    Green Arrow: ??
Atom: well there’s Atomica but she’s a villain.
